That night I dreamed about Tony, and what life would've been like if he hadn't killed himself.

"You're adorable when you're mad." He mused.

"Shut up."

"Michelle, you know you can't stay mad at me."

"I know, that's what's making me mad."

He laughed, "Where would I be without you?"

"Dead, probably."

That wasn't funny, but my subconscious is writing this shit, not me.

He laughed, "If I didn't have you, I would probably still be with Stephanie, so yeah, dead works."

I kissed him, "And we wouldn't have Madison or the twins, or Megan."

"You'd still have Adam and Vic. And that suits me fine."

"Tony, you know Vic and I are history. We're never going to be together again."

"But if something happened to me, that's who I would want you to be with."

"Well nothing is going to ever happen to you. I couldn't live without you if it did."

"You'd be okay, I'm sure."

He kissed me, "Happy Valentine's day." he whispered, handing me a vase of red roses.

"You didn't have to do this."

"I wanted to."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"Do you remember what our song was?"

I had to think, "Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron and Wine."

He smiled and started singing.

I sang along, and we slowdanced in the kitchen.

"I had this terrible dream about you Tony, I dreamed you left us, and then you died, and-"

He kissed me, "Shh, don't tell me. I'm here now, and I'm not going anywhere. I wouldn't rather be anywhere else but here."

I smiled, "Good."

My phone rang, and I sat up.

I yawned and reached for it, only to find that it wasn't mine.

I reached over Vic and picked his phone up.

"Hello?"

"Michelle?"

"Yeah, who is this?"

"David."

"Hi David, it's been a really long time."

"Yeah it has. How's Vic? Mom said he was in the hospital."

"He's getting over the Chicken Pox. He's actually getting out tomorrow, or today. I don't know what time it is, so I'm not really sure."

He laughed, "Francesca and I are going to come visit. We're in town, and we thought we'd visit the family."

"That would be great David."

"How are your kids?"

"Great. Driving me nuts. I have eight now, and two more on the way."

"Wow, you guys sure stayed busy."

"David, you know they're not all Vic's."

He laughed, "I know. But I can't wait to see all of them. I'm sorry to call so late, I just wanted to make sure he was okay."
