Chapter 4, Rio

I know this isn't part two, but I didn't think this piece would really fit in the other chapter, so I gave it it's own. It's Rio's POV and it's going to be pretty short. I had a pretty good idea on how this book was going to go, but I think I'm going to change it. Oh, and that's Rio on the side. Well, hope you like it!

Rio's POV

Nasha stepped away from me and I felt pretty hurt.

'Of course you're hurt! She is mine, uh, ours.'

'Ryan, you know you can't have her.' I said to my wolf, Ryan.

'But she's my mate!' Ryan whined, 'You can't reject her!'

"I can and I will, once she figures it out at least.' I huffed and cut of the connection.

I'm just so angry! I don't want to reject her, she's my mate! I love her! I have to though. No, I'm not one of those nasty future alphas who sleep around then reject their mate to "protect them" or to make them "pay" for not being good enough.

Actually, I'm quite the opposite. I've never slept with anyone apart from my parents when I was younger, I havn't had my first kiss yet, and I've never had a girlfriend.

My father told me that it would just make life harder if I did any of those things when he explained mates and mating. He said that I should wait and give my mate all the love that I've stored until I find her.

So that's what I did.

I've stayed away from bad situations and I've preserved all of my love so I could be the perfect mate for Nasha.

Nasha.

Just thinking about her makes me happy. Her perfect alabaster skin and amazing dark brown hair.

And her eyes. Oh, her eyes are just magical. Always changing to and even more beautiful color than the last...

No! Stop thinking like that! You just can't have her.

I was so sad about that last thought. It's not fair. Why did she have to be chosen? We could have lived a happy life together, growing old and having children.

That couldn't happen though. With her being who she is, There is no room for a mate.

I came out of my thoughts when Nasha tapped me on my shoulder.

"Did you hear that?" she asked, "You kindof spaced out there. We're all going upstairss to get to know each other better. You wanna come?"

She smiled at me and I couldn't refuse.

"Sure, that would be fun." I responded casually and followed the gang upstairs to the game room.

Sorry this is so short. I just wanted to put something up. Now I see that it isn't as easy as is seems to write ten page chapters every other day. I had originally thought that would be a good size, but, it doesn't seem to be that simple. This is mainly a werewolf story, but we are going to be meeting some vampires later in the story. Thanks for reading!
