Butterscotch buttons.

125 grm butter

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon golden syrup

1 1/4 cups self raising flour

Mix butter, vanilla essence, brown sugar and golden syrup till light and fluffy, then stir in flour.

Roll teaspoon full balls, flatten with fork.

Slow oven (150 C) 20 mins till lightly browned.

Should make 70 odd.

(150C = 300F)
