You crushed my heart,
Left me to die,
Lying there,
Alone to cry.
Our love is gone,
Used me like a pawn,
Leaving me with one word,
"Why?"
You crushed my heart,
Left me to die.
You cut my wings,
So I couldn't fly.
I loved you,
But you did too.
You were so seflish that you
Lied.
You crushed my heart,
Left me to die,
I said I loved you,
But that you denied.
You turned from the truth,
You stole my youth,
And made me say,
"Goodbye."

PoetryThis collection of poems ranges from bleak to uplifting, but all were written from my own heart. Poetry, like music or any other art, is often best when it comes from the soul...and these poems definitely did.
