I'd like to tell you,
That I didn't mean it,
But then I'd be lying.
I'd like to tell you,
That it was a sudden storm,
But then I'd be lying.
I'd like to tell you,
That it will all blow over,
That it wasn't your fault,
But then I'd be lying.
The truth stings,
But it is the truth.
I'd hate to say it,
But I hate you.
That is the truth.
I'd hate to say it,
But you frighten me.
That is the truth.
I'd hate to say it,
But you anger me.
That is the truth.
You have been filling me
With fury,
A mountain going to blow,
A tornado about to touch down,
And this is it.
The last straw,
Lays broken,
Beyond repair.
I'd like to tell you,
That I won't hurt you,
But then I'd be lying.

PoetryThis collection of poems ranges from bleak to uplifting, but all were written from my own heart. Poetry, like music or any other art, is often best when it comes from the soul...and these poems definitely did.
