Aaron sighed as he shut the wooden door and pressed his back against it. He watched as Cordelia stumbled to the bed and collapsed on it, crawling so she was lying vertically on the mattress and resting her head on its side facing Aaron as she rested on her stomach. She patted the spot next to her, inviting Aaron to lay down with her. He pushed off the door and laid down next to his mate. All he wanted to do at that moment was pass out in the unnaturally comfy bed with his mate in his arms, but it wasn't as if he was bold enough to speak or better yet act out these feelings. Instead he would take any chance he could get to be near her.

Yup, he was still shaky on how to act around Cordelia, but he sure as Hell wasn't going to deny the fact that he liked her. A lot. Maybe a bit too much. Yeah, probably should have exercised his social skills earlier and maybe he would feel a bit more at ease near her. Or he could have had the crap beat out of him by his pack. Perhaps that wouldn't have helped, not even a little.

"I feel like my legs are about to fall off." Cordelia groaned as she scooted closer to Aaron so their sides were touching. It was as if all the electricity in a power plant was running between them, the feeling only intensifying when Aaron tentatively wrapped an arm around her back and chuckled at her child-like whine. She lightly hit his arm before nuzzling into his neck, causing Aaron to turn red. "Don't laugh at me." She pouted, her breathe tickling Aaron's neck in the most pleasant ways.

Luke had dragged them all around the castle, showing off every room. Castle Dragona is five floors high and had about two hundred rooms per floor, making the whole endeavor torture to their feet, the whole thing monopolizing their day and only stopping for brief lunch and dinner breaks. Yet Luke still had that stupid smile that even Aaron was prepared to smack off of him. While walking back to their rooms Luke insisted that the four of them go for a little dip in the hot tub later that day, in which Cordelia agreed just to shut Luke up. Aaron turned his head over and looked at the top of his mate's head.

So beautiful. He thought happily as he rubbed her back with a shaky hand.

Cordelia let out a muffled sound that was a cross between a moan and sigh of content that none the less made Aaron's face darken. Cordelia suddenly pulled away from the comforting embrace and hopped off the bed, causing Aaron to frown at the sudden loss. She raised her hands over her head and stretched them out as she walked towards the door, a slight pink tint that was barely detectable on her cheeks.

"I'm going to go and see to what is taking so long with the arrival of your luggage. I won't be longer than a few minutes." She said before leaving without a word.

"So much for your legs killing you I guess." Aaron muttered as he turned onto his back and stared at the ceiling than the far wall.

Aaron did a double take and looked back up at the ceiling and gaped in awe. The whole ceiling was painted a dark blue with the stars, moon, and planets painted on it. It was captivating and Aaron couldn't help but stare at it as a thought crossed his mind. She likes astronomy. His eyebrows crinkled as he frowned. "I have to start taking Dad's advice."

Cordelia ran her hand through her hair as she walked at a fast pace down through the house. She repeatedly slapped her face with her hand. "Stupid. Stupid. Stupid!" She yelled in frustration with each hit.

"Um, Cordelia?" Cordelia's head snapped up to see a concerned Lucinda looking at her with her eyes drawn together.

Cordelia smoothed back her hair. "I apologize for what you just witnessed." Her voice was soft, yet professional and emotionless.

"Are you alright?" Lucinda cautiously placed her hand on Cordelia's shoulder. "If you want to talk I'm all ears."

Cordelia put on her mask for Lucinda. "Perfectly fine. How are you?"
