"Really?" That's great to hear! Can you tell me over the phone, or would you like to come to my office?" Steven asks.

"Well, it would be easier to bring her to your office." I state, looking over at Ellie. She smiles and and I smile back.

"Alright. So I will see you, Ryan and your friend in say, ten minutes? Is that convenient?"

"Um, ten minutes?" I ask aloud, looking at Ellie for confirmation. She nods and takes a deep breath. "Yep, ten minutes works." I agree. "See you then!"

"Goodbye Maggie, see you in a few minutes." I hear a click on the other end of the line so I hang up as well.

"Do you know where Goldberg and Associates law offices are?" I ask Ellie, who nods sadly.

"I've driven past that building thousands of times, trying to muster up the courage to pull in and finally share the story of what happened to me." She laughs a quiet, shallow laugh. "I never would have guessed that the daughter of the man, the very reason I drove past that building almost every day for the past five years, would be the reason I am finally speaking up for myself." I nod understandingly. Ellie's sighs and grabs her keys, leading us out to her car.

After going to many times, she clearly knows the way and it only takes us a few minutes to arrive.

Ellie pauses at the doors, examining her reflection in the glass. She slowly reaches for the door handle, as if in a dream. In a way, I suppose it is like a dream for her though.

We are greeted by MaryAnne as soon as we walk into the lobby and she immediately buzzes for Steven. He comes out a moment later and holds his hand out to Ellie. "Steven Goldberg. I presume you are Maggie's friend?"

Ellie stares at him for a few minutes, wide eyed, as if in total shock. She snaps out of her trance and shakes his hand. "Eleanor Roid sir. And yes, I was the Charnet's nanny and housekeeper since the kids were four."

Steven nods. "Eleanor, will you come into my office so we can discuss the information you have to tell me?" Ellie nods and follows him thought the frosted glass door leading to his office.

Ryan and I sit down on the brown leather couch in the lobby. The room is silent aside from the rapid tapping of MaryAnne's fingertips hitting the computer keyboard. I lean my head on Ryan's shoulder. He puts his head on mine. I close my eyes and try to relax.

I hear Steven's door open way too soon. I open my eyes groggily and see Ellie smiling at Ryan and I. I pick my head up off of Ryan's shoulder, disturbing him and waking him up. "Wha-what? Oh." He mumbles as he opens his eyes and sees Steven and Ellie waiting. Ellie's make up is a little smudged from crying but now she looks like she just had a heavy weight lifted off of her shoulders.

"So how did it go?" I ask.

"It went well." Steven answers. "Ellie is very brave for coming out and sharing her story. It can definitely help put Rick in jail if we can get evidence, possibly though, if we can trick them into confessing, we might. It need evidence. Which is good, seeing as the judge wants to start the case Monday."

My jaw drops. "Monday? As in five days from today? That's it? That's all the time we have to prepare?"

"That's all. The judge wants to get us in as soon as possible because these men could be a danger to the general public." Steven explains. "We don't have any physical evidence against them, therefore getting them to confess is imperative toys if we want to win this case. If we could only find the house, we would have a very strong chance of finding viable evidence."

I nod glumly. I don't know. I was unconscious when they took me there."

"As was I." Ellie shrugs.
