Chapter 7:

I atomically noticed his brightly colored blue eyes.

"Michael?"

The man looks at me straight in the eye and smiles, "Michael!"

I Threw my arms around him and hugged him tightly, as he did the same to me.

"Mary, I haven't seen you in so long!" He said to me as we finally separated.

"Seems like you two know each other very well" The girl I stood with commented behind us.

I forgot she was ever here. I turned to her, "I'm sorry, where are my manners" I then looked at Michael, "This is my old friend Micheal".

I looked back at her. She smiled at him, and shook his hand, "My name is Alice"

"Nice to meet you" He smiled kindly back at her, then she turned to me.

"I'm not goning to intrude in what seems like a reunion, I just leave" She turned and smiled over her shoulder as she left.

I looked at him again, our eyes meet, I smiled and hugged him again, "I missed you so much."

"What have you been up to all these years?" He askes me.

"Same as what I've always been doing since my fathers death" I answerd him as we danced.

We were instructed to by one of the kings assistant."Everyone must be dancing!," he instructs,"kings orders!" Michael didn't hesistate on taking my hand and leading me out to into the crowd to join the others. Where everyone was dancing, even the ones without a partner like Alice. My mother and sisters have not been seen yet.

"That's a disappointment, I was hoping there'd be at least some change when I got back." He frowned at me and we make eye contact. He's always been pushing me to stand up to my mother for the same reason, always. I don't say anything, but shake my head disappointingly.

We (or as I should say I) changed the subject and we continued talking as we dance aroun the ball room. The music was at a quick rate and everyone was daning the same dance at the same speed. Then we were able to take a break. Micheal went to go get drinks and I stayed where the small fruit cups were on a wide table spread across the front side of the ball room, so anyone can get any whenever.

He took to long.

"Everyone must be dancing!" I hear the kings assistant hollar over everyone, "kings orders!"

"Oh no" Was all I was able to think when I saw everyone going back to dance, everyone except me.

"Sorry miss, but you must be dancing!" He pushes me and I end up bumping into someone.

A man, couple inches taller than me, I look up at him and he looks down at me, the first thing I notice is his green eyes.

I open my mouth to apologize but then pushed agaisnt him again by the assistant as he tells me, "Dance!"

"Oh No" I think again, I turn away from the man, "He Thinks I'm dancing with him"

"Would you like to dance?" I hear him, his voice is deep and steady. I look at him again, seeing his offering hand.

"Well I can't dance alone"

I nod slowly with a shy smile and take his offering hand. He then pulls me close when the music plays again and I quickly look away. I noticed the music they were playing, slow and steady. This was a slow song.

I felt my entire face go warm.

"Michael where are you?"
