I woke up to the my phone vibrating underneath my pillow.

I squint as I read Eli's text.

good morning summer (:

I smile and slide my phone under my pillow but it vibrates again.

Jeremy.

Hey summer good morning :) can i come over? Please text backasap

For the past few days after our date, I haven't seen him.

I practically ignored him.

If I didn't, then I would probably think of myself as a desperate whore trying to get over a guy with another guy in two days.

I just wanted a friend.

After a few minutes of thinking, I decide to text him back.

Yeah sure. but can you come after lunch? i wanna lay in my bed for a few more hours

Yes, I wanna lay in my bed for a few more hours to give myself time to think and sulk about my non existent relationship with my best friend.

Even if he is a sex addicted jerk.

If he wasn't so much of a whore, I would tell him how much I love him right now.

I stare at the ceiling.

I couldn't forget how he used the word "couples" yesterday. Does that mean that we were a couple? Even if it was unofficial?

Darn it, I ask so much questions.

I text Eli a simple good morning too, and ask if he slept well.

I may not be super smart, but I'm smart enough to know that Eli can not commit.

So if, by any chance, a hot guy with a name that rhymes with "Deremy" offers to help you forget about your ass of a best friend (no offense) who made you fall so hard for him without any plan of catching you at all, take it.

Even if you prefer your best friend more.

But I bet Eli's found a replacement for me back in NJ, too.

"Honey! Breakfast's ready!" Mom hollers.

"Give me a minute," I say as I walk to my bathroom, wash my face, and brush my teeth.

I take a look at myself in the mirror to see how horrible I looked.

My hair is a huge mess. But that's okay; it's not like anyone would see me except for Mom, Dad, and Mystique, who probably wouldn't care.

I head downstairs and bring my phone with me to see if I could call Megan.

Living without her has been really hard for me, with no one to help me face my boy problems with.

Ugh, why can't I just be gay? That would've been much easier.

When Megan finally picks up, I let out a relieved sigh.

"Megan! I thought you'd never pick up," I say with a huge smile.

"Thanks for waking me up," she groans.

"No problem," I smirk. "So how are you?"

"I'm a huge wreck, thanks for asking," she says.

"Would it be weird if I imagined you in a skin tone leotard on a huge plastic wrecking ball pretending you were Miley Cyrus?" I say, silently laughing at the thought.

"Haha," Megan says monotonously. "Have you and Eli talked since yesterday? It's my fault, Summer. I asked him to go to the party."

"What happened?" I ask.
