Chapter 5: Finally Friday

Laura's POV

I opened my eyes. It was light out. I sat up then smiled. I had made it through the night. There was no blood. No taunting. Actually, I didn't have a dream. Then, I realized it was Friday! I jumped out of bed. I got washed up and put on my white flowy top and my light pink skirt. I redid my hair into a French braid. I put my feet into my combat boots and zipped them up. I grabbed my phone and my bag and ran out of my room. I headed to the school building. I started to walk to my English class. Then, I felt someone push me down, hard, again. The carpet gave me a rug burn and it hurt! I looked up. It was Kiersy. Who else would it be?
"Oops sorry!" she said sarcastically. I said nothing as she walked away. I leaned against lockers, still sitting down. Suddenly, a person sat down next to me.
"Hey," the person said. It was Ross. Again. Why does he come when I'm hurting? I want him to see the happy side of me. Not the pathetic side.
"Whatcha doin?" Ross joked and laughing lightly. I rolled my eyes and half smiled. Somehow, he made me smile. That Ross Lynch boy. Snap out of it Laura!
"Nothing, just sitting here," I replied. Then I looked down at my arm. It still stung. Ross noticed."Who did that to you?" Ross said, getting protective almost. He grabbed my arm, checking it out.
"Uh you know, I fell," I lied. Wow I'm a bad liar. I just can't let him know I'm weak.
"You sure?" he asked. I looked at him. He had amazing eyes. Amazing smile. Just amazing. WAIT A SECOND. LAURA. DON'T THINK LIKE THIS!
"Laura?" Ross said, snapping me out of the trance.
"Oh uh sorry. I should go get to class," I said. I stood up and left. But I wanted to go back.

Ross POV

I watched Laura leave me. This is like the second time she has done this to me. Leaving me clueless. Alone. Love struck.
"Ross?" I heard a voice say. I looked up. Of course. It was Calum. He always comes when I'm thinking about Laura!
"Yeah?" I said clearly not going to avoid this one.
"Uh why are you sitting on the floor?" he asked me, giving me a weird look. Find an excuse. Find an excuse.
"Uh well I felt dizzy. So I uh well sat down. On the floor" I stuttered. Calum gave me another weird look.
"Kay..." No not this again. I don't like lying to people but I have to sometimes. I knew he was Laura's friend also I so if I told him, he would probably tell Laura
"Gotta go to science," I said running away. I left Calum standing there, dumbfounded.
