Chapter 50

I couldn't save him. I keep thinking.

This wasn't his fight he was a human in a supernatural war.

This is all my fault.

Who ever that lady is I will find her and I'll will rip her apart if it's the last thing I do!

Tyler carried me to the car after I cried for what seemed like hours.

Now I just feel numb.

I think Tyler's talking to me but I'm tuning out everything I don't want to talk or think.

Ezra was right don't get close too something that can die.

Tyler picks me up and takes me to the room I'm staying in.

He says something and kisses my head.

I get under the covers but every time I close my eyes it replays in my head over and over again.

I don't know how long Ive been in this room.

I look up to see Ezra on the edge of the bed.

"Don't blame yourself Aria if anything it's my fault" he says to me

"Some people aren't meant to have a family I guess" I say in between sobs

"You have me, ally, Tyler and all them"

"They will all die one day" I say "you were right I shouldn't get close to any of them"

"Yes I know I said that but I was wrong they all love and care for you Aria don't shut them out" he grabs my hand "Listen to me don't shut off your humanity I know it seems like a good option but trust me you'll hate yourself once you turn it back on because you will do horrible unspeakable things stuff you won't be able to live with" he says tearing up

"Did you do that" I say

"Yes when my love ones died" he says sadly

"I don't want to feel like this I want the pain to stop" I bawl, he puts me in my arms and hugs me tight

I cry myself to sleep.

I don't want to get up, I don't want to see anyone but I need to find that woman who did this to Alaric I need to get justice for him and I will find her.

I get dressed But I know I still look like crap but I don't care.

I walk into the kitchen everybody sitting at the table eating breakfast.

"Aria" Ella say "um good morning"

"Morning" I say as as I grab a cup of coffee

I can feel everyone staring at me I know they are worried about me.

"Stop staring" I say as I turn around all their heads whips back to there plates

"Are you hungry?" Ally asks me I shake my head

"We need to find that woman who did this to him" I say trying to not get worked up

"We will" Tyler says

"No we find her now or find someone who knows of her"

"Aria I think we should just lay low" Ezra says

"WE HAVE BEEN AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! We weren't looking for a fight and they killed Alaric anyway so if they want a fight" I know my fangs are out

I know Ezra worried about me doing something stupid.

"Fine we can ask around but we are bringing more vampires with us as a precaution" he says

"Good call them now" I tell him
