Sitting in the beach, near Amms 's house, Nandini keept on rubbing off her flowing tears.
Nandini ( pov ) : stop it Nandini. ....kyon roo rahi hai uss insaan ke liye. ...joh tujhe ek burden samajhta hai? ???......woh tujhe trust nehin karta hai! !!!!.....tabhie toh itni hurtful cheeze ussne mujhe bola! !!!!!.....he is really a monster! !!!.....,he is very bad!!!!!......I hate him!!!!
Sitting beside Nandini, Manik said " you hate me? ??????"
Shocked, Nandini looked at him.
Though it was dark, but due to the moon light, Manik could clearly see Nandini's face, glittering with tears.
Turning her face away, Nandini calmly said "tum. ...yaha pein kya kar rahe ho? ???"
Manik : kuch kho gaya hai! !!!!.....usse wapas lene aya hu. ..
Nandini ( irritatedly ) : kya kho gaya hai ....tumhara? ?????
Manik ( with a smile ) : my baby. ...
Fresh tears started to flow down Nandini's cheeks.
Nandini : yaha pein koi baby nehin hai. ....tum chale jao! !!!!
Manik ( determined ):akele jaane ke liye thodi naa yaha pein aya hu. ....main toh aapne baby ko saath leke hi jaunga !!!!!!
Saying this Manik takes Nandini's hands in his. But angrily Nandini moves away her hand.
Manik ( sweetly ) : meri baby itna gussa hai! !!!!
Nandini ( angrily ) : nehin hu main tumhari baby. ....chale jao. ...jaise teen saal pehle chhod ke gaye the! !!!!!
Manik very well knew, that it won't be easy for him to melt Nandini. But he had to bare with all her complaints, in order to reduce her anger and frustration.
Manik : accha. ...toh yeh teen saal ka gussa hai! !!!!....hmm. ....main idiot tha. .....maine overreact kiya. .....par tumne mujhe roka kyon nehin? ???
Nandini turns towards Manik and looks straight into his eyes.
Nandini ( disheartened ): bolne ka mauka diya tha kya? ?????......divorce papers haath mein rakh ke. ....tum mujhe chhod ke chale gaye the! !!!!
Manik could clearly see the pain in her eyes.
Raising his hands, Manik rubbed Nandini's tears. Nandini wanted to protest. But before Nandini could react, Manik hugged her.
Once in Maniks arms, Nandini like a typical girl forgot everything and hugged him back.
Manik softly murmured in her ears " I am sorry. .....please mujhe maaf kar doo. ...."
Nandini ( with a choked voice ) : I hate you. ....I hate you so much. ....I hate you a lot. ..
A smile escaped Maniks lips and he said "I know. ....but it doesn't matter. ....because I love you. ....aur main tumhe kabhie chhod ke nehin jaane wala "
Breaking the hug, Nandini sat with her head on Maniks shoulder.
Both of them keept on starring at the stars, holding each others hand.
Nandini breaking the silence "I love you. .."
Manik ( with a smile ) : accha. ....mujhe nehin pataa tha! !!!"
Nandini raised her head and gave Manik her I -am - gonna - kill - you - look.
Manik ( confused ) : waise ek baat mujhe abhi taak samajh nehin aya. ....
Nandini :kya? ????
Manik ( fumbling ) : hum. ...ne toh. ..aaj taak kuch. ..bhi nehin kiya. ....phir yeh Veer? ?????
Nandini ( jokingly ) : phir se doubt kar rahe ho? ?????
Manik ( being cautious ): no ways. ....I was just curious. ....
Nandini  (calmly narrated ): uss raat tumhe rokne ke liye main airport aa hi rahi thi ki. ....highway ka road ek car accident ke wajah se blocked tha. .....uss car accident mein ek couple ki spot death ho gayi thi. ....par unka beta bacch gaya tha. ....jab koi bhi unki help nehin kar raha tha. ....toh main hi uss bacche ko hospital le gayi. ....aur baad mein usse adopt kiya. ....
After hearing all this silently, Manik felt proud of her.
Patting her shoulder, Manik said " meri baby. ...ab ek baby ki maa baan gayi hai. ....I am like. ....super proud. ..."
Saying this Manik kissed Nandini's forehead and they sat under the stars, for like ages.
