An hour later
Undoubtedly, Manik was physically present with his friends in the canteen. But his mind was roaming somewhere else .
After every few seconds Manik checked his mobile for missed calls or texts. But there were none.
Manik ( closing his eyes )(pov ) : where the hell are you? ??....I need to see you. .....just to make sure that you are fine. ...where are you Nandini? ???.....I need you right now
Opening his eyes Manik saw Navya coming towards them.
Abruptly Manik said "tum akeli. ....yaha kya kar rahi ho? ???"
Navya somehow managed to decode the tone of Manik and replied "woh hum lecture attend kar ke aa rahe hai. ....aur Nandini shayaad ab bhi library mein aap na assignment pura kar rahi hai "
Impatiently ,Manik left for the library.
Cabir  (baffled ):jab se iss ki shaadi hui hai na. ..tab se yeh man of word se man of action baan gaya hai.
Mukti  (laughing ):woh toh hai

Entering the library, Manik saw the librarian looking at the watch desperately.
Manik :andaar koi hai kya? ???????
Librarian :dekhiye na sir. ..lunch break hai. ...lekin yeh ladki library ke bahar aa hi nehin rahi hai! !!!!
Manik ( with his smirk ):in that case. ....I think I can help

Nandini was busy reading the last book for her assignment.
When she felt someone lifting her up. She gave a scream, only to realise that she was in Maniks arms and her hands where on his chest.
Embarrassed, she moved her hands and yelled : what are you doing? ??...mujhe neeche uttaro. ..abhi ke abhi. ......I have loads of work to do! !!!!!
Manik ( with his smirk ): keep on barking Mrs Malhotra ......I am not listening. ...I know work is worship. .....but you don't realise that health is wealth
Nandini ( irritatedly ): cut that crap. ...mujhe assignment complete karna hai
Saying this Nandini tried to jump out of Maniks arms. ....but all her efforts were in vain as Manik held her more firmly, near his chest, as if she was his 2 years old baby doll.
Manik ( irritatedly ): I give a damn about your assignment. ...but yeah. ...your health is definitely my wealth. ....woh kya hai na. ..its fun to fight with a wild cat. ....Instead of bheegi billi
Nandini ( with her angry pout ): I - am - not -a -bheegi -billi
Manik ( sweetly ): we will debate on that later. ...Nandu baby
Stepping out of the library Manik ordered the librarian "ab aap lunch ke liye jaa sakte hai and sorry for the delay. ..due to my beloved cat. ...I mean my wife
Nandini keept on glaring at Manik angrily.
Nandini ( pov ) : how dare he? ???......call me a cat. ...woh bhi iss librarian ke saamne. ...I am a cat. .....seriously. .....so childish. ....Monster Manik Monkey Malhotra. ......
Manik ( pov ) : she is completely like a baby. .....I am totally baby sitting my Bossy Kiddo Wife. ...I mean. .....jab humare babies honge. .....I would become a pro in baby sitting
Thinking about this Manik started to giggle, whereas Nandini keept on glaring at him.
