Sorrow. It was a word used as a synonym for sadness, for unhappiness. However to me, sorrow was more than that. Sorrow was the aching feeling in the pit of your heart. The feeling that made you throat burn as you tried to refrain from bursting into salty tears. Sorrow was loss, and I have seemed to experience that in many unfortunate ways.

I was never one to be unthankful. Never one to blame someone for my mistakes or for my sorrow. Never one to complain and whine about anything. I might have been a rich child growing up but never a snotty one.

It had been a couple days since the shooting at the charity ball. The next day Daniel's mother had come home safe and sound. After that dreaded night things had changed. Daniel seemed to withdraw from me. Everynight he'd come home late and agitated but he wouldn't utter a word to me about it. He'd brush me off as if I were a pestering fly.

So in turn I gave him space. I stopped sleeping in his bed, stopped asking him the interigation questions I always asked when he came home. I haven't seen Daniel in a couple days and I missed him like hell. Missed his eyes, his hands, his lips and those fleeting stares of desire. But I delt with it and continued to do what I do best, run away from my problems.

Today wasn't any different. I woke up and immediately I felt that something was wrong. That everything was wrong. And it was. I had a psychotic killer hot on my tail as I stayed with a mafia family. I had lost all hope in making it out of this house safely.

I got out of my bed and grudgingly and made my way to the bathroom. I didn't bother looking in the mirror. My hair most likley resembled a bird's nest and I was probably sporting a pair black circles around my tired eyes. I was tired but not from sleep or from the lack of energy, but from continuously having to watch my back and having to watch as the people I care for get hurt because of me. I shook my head as if it would shake away the dark cloud of emotional pain that seemed to hover over me.

I slowly and quietly made my way out of my room and down the stairs. I was about to go into the dinning room for breakfast when I heard hushed voices from the living room. Stealthily, I blanched on the balls of my feet, making sure I didn't make any noise as I crept towards the living room. I peered around the corner to see Daniel and his mom earnestly discussing something.

"Danny baby, you have to tell her." She told him as she held his hand. Daniel huffed as he ran his fingers through his brown locks.

"I know, ma. But she's going to go ballistic." He told her, his hand grasping a white letter. I felt the searing emotion of dread flow through my body. I knew what it was. I knew who it was from. I knew what it ment. But I didn't dare utter a word. I couldn't, I was pettrified. Shocked into fear.

"I know it's tough baby, but you have to. If she finds out from someone else she'll resent you." She tells him as she rubs his back.

"Tell me what?" I ask as I step out behind the wall. Daniel's wide eyes meet mine and I'm almost positive it's about Dean.

"We were right, he is planning something." Daniel said solemnly. His head drops as he looks at the white letter between his fingertips.

"What is he planning?" I asked, willing my voice to be strong and confident when I was shaking from fear and dread.

"He's threatening to blow up the club, the mansion and all our secret warehouses." He says shaking his head as he balled his fists.

"That's not possible. He doesn't know where they are." I denied.

"He does now." Daniel told me, his expression grave. "The letter was sent here, Aphrodite. It was a dressed to the mansion, so far he's only known the location of the club but he's seemed to have find out much more." My head started to throb. I couldn't stay here anymore I was going to hurt them and that wasn't an option. We both knew that if Dean knew where the mansion was, we had a leak, a bug. We had a traitor.
