Dying Patience

Sick and tired of waiting,
Can you hear the silence screaming?
The dying breaths of a patient heart,
Tormented cries of a soul that's scarred.
Loneliness isn't a memory to mar,
It's the sacramental essence of all that we are.
An exuberant veil hides the tears,
The shedding of purity through the years.
Crimson hearts throb within a dark soul,
The darkest of black, the colour of coal.
