Broken

Should I take the chance again?
Fall in love and forget the pain.
The silent river of tears I've shed,
The nay-saying voices in my head.
Can I be the person I want to be?
Can I change into something I never was?
Shattered dreams and lost hope,
With the brokeness I have learnt to cope.
The desires of my heart ache in my chest,
When I try to forget it with all my best.
