Jayla sat in my lap as I rubbed her thigh. We were looking at stuff for our wedding.
Jayla - ohh babe I like this one
She pointed to some white flowers.
Odell - yeah dats nice.
Jayla laid her head in my chest. She looked at me , kissing my neck.
Odell - stop.
Jayla - baby
Odell - no ya ass told me yesterday. You wanna wait until the honeymoon so that's what we doing. You gon wait.
Jayla - see I don't like you.
She pushed me playfully.
Odell - you don't like me but you marrying me.
Jayla - shut up
Odell - you wanna know what my mom asked me?
Jayla - what
Odell - are we gonna have kids?
Jayla - not right now. Maybe a couple years from now but not now.
Jayla POV
His momma is outta her mind. She's asking for kids now. She can wait.
Odell - babe I want kids.
Jayla - Baby look at me. Maybe in the near future. I don't think I'm ready for a baby mentally. I just don't wanna rush none of this.
Odell - ight.
Odell smiled.
I looked down at my ring and went upstairs.
A baby is something I'm definitely not ready for. But he wants kids and eventually I have to have one.
