(Patty POV)

I looked at her and she stared at me with these big watery eyes. It was then that I knew Lorrie had been out here and Lorrie told her everything. When Lorrie comes out Tammy, Tracey and I go blank just like Sashii does when we come out. Tracey may have power over me and Tammy but Lorrie has power over all of us and she can let Sashii forget about us and all we’ll become are characters in her little stories again.

Patty: Hi

Toya: Are you new? Are you another one of Sashii’s… umm

Patty: Characters? Yes I am. I’m Patrice

Toya: Oh! Patty! I heard you were the brains

Patty: Yup you heard correct I do the thinking and the homework. Was Lorrie out here?

Toya: Yea (sniffles) she’s pretty quiet isn’t she?

Patty: Yea silent but deadly. She’s the only one who’s capable of getting rid of us all

Toya: I thought that Tracey does that ish

Patty: Tracey is in charge in some cases like she can bring Sashii back or stop us from coming out but when it comes to making us disappear permanently… That’s all Lorrie. She scares me and Tammy too even though she doesn’t like to admit it.

Toya: Wow… This is all so-

Prince: Hey girls mind if we come back in?

Patty: (smiling) Hi Princeton

Prod: You look happier

Toya: (looking at Patty) Um… S-Sashii… (whispers) Are you still Patty?

Patty: (Nods) So when are you guys leaving

Prince: Ouch! You want us to leave already?

Patty: (giggles) No but I don’t want you guys wasting all your time here

Prod: It’s not a waste trust me

Toya: Yea it isn’t. I think I’ll stay the night even

Prod: You are?

Prince: Yea I’ll stay too

Patty: You guys really don’t have to do that

Prod: Yea but we want to

Patty: Awe you’re staying too Prod?

Prod: To be honest I kind of have to. I live with Princeton and he’s my only ride home

Prince: (laughs) Gee Prodigy God forbid you would actually have to stay to comfort Sashii

Prod: Hey I’m just being honest. I’m more than happy to visit you Sashii but not this whole spend the night thing

Patty: Yea (giggles) I understand Prod but it’s still nice of you to stay tonight

Toya: Yea my man is just full of kindness (blows kiss)

Prod: On second thought I love this staying the night idea

Prince: Ugh you’re full of it lover boy

Toya: (Looking at Patty) Um Pa- I mean Sashii… you good?

?? (blinking) The lights, too bright can you-

Toya: I’m on it! (whispers) Who are you?

??: Much better… It’s Sashii who else?

Toya: Uh- (looks around) No one I guess

Sashii: You okay? Looked like you just saw a ghost

Toya: (mumbles) More like five

Sashii: What did you say

Toya: Nothing… nothing at all Sash. So um I was thinking that maybe you should get some rest

Sashii: Okay so I guess I’ll see you guys tomorrow?

Toya: N-no sweetie we’re staying the night

Sashii: You are? Awe that’s sweet

(Prod and Princeton look at each other confused)

Prince: Uh yea Sash we just talked about this…

Sashii: Yea of course! Must have slipped my mind

Prod: In five minutes?

Toya: (slaps Prod) Hush up boy. Just rest honey we’ll be back later (walks out)

Prod: Toya you do realize that there’s something wrong with her right?

Toya: So what she’s a little forgetful no big deal

Prince: She forgot our whole convo about staying here tonight! Maybe we should ask a doctor to-

Toya: NO! I-I don’t think that’s necessary. It’s probably just the amount of blood she lost you know

Prince: Yea, you’re probably right.

 Toya: Uh you guys mind if I go somewhere really quick and meet you back here say… about 6 o’clock maybe? Just an hour to myself

Prod: Of course baby girl anything you want

Prince: Yea Toy meet you later. Yo Prod I’m starving how about we eat!

Prod: Yes! Now you’re speaking my language!

(Toya POV)

I had to escape to go to the library. These “characters” living in Sashii’s imagination aren’t healthy for her and she needs help but I have to find out if this thing has a name. I searched schizophrenia but that wasn’t it and Bi-polar disorder wasn’t it either. Think Toya! I know this I’ve done many different diseases before… Cancer, HIV, Bi-polar… and…

Toya: (Yells) I GOT IT! It’s MPD that’s the name of it

Librarian: Shh!

Toya: I’m so sorry ma’am… (whispers) It says here that Dissociative Identity Disorder or (Multiple Personality Disorder) is “a common effect of severe trauma during early childhood from physical, sexual and emotional abuse” This is it! This is what Sashii has. It even mentions something about each person having a different way of speaking or a different personality and the main person never seems to remember anything when these other personalities are out. So Tracey, Patty, Tameka and Lorrie are all different in their own way. They’re all different parts of Sashii that she wanted to forget. Wait it says here that they can be different ages too and… different genders! Ew!

Toya: (Gasps) Princeton don’t ever do that ever in your life!

Librarian: SHH!

Prince+Toya: Sorry

Prince: What’s that though? MPD? The hell is that

Toya: N-nothing just something I’m researching that’s all

Prince: You research on your free time now?

Toya: W-well i-if you need to be all in my damn business… reading is fundamental

Prince: Really? That’s the line you’re going with? “Reading is fundamental”

Toya: Princeton is you done interrogating me?

Prince: Big word for a ghetto chick!

Toya: Shut up! What are you even doing here and where my man at!

Prince: Chill tiger Prodigy is with Sashii and I came to look for you

Toya: Fine! You found me! You can leave now

Prince: What’s wrong with you Toya? We’re best friends and you never hide things from me so what’s with all the secrets all of a sudden now you’re searching foreign diseases and crap. What is going on?

Toya: Nothing Princeton! Everything is fine I was just researching something for a future project that we have so let’s just go back to the hospital okay?

Princeton: Oh please Latoya you KNOW I’m right
