It all starts at the last moment
The happiness turns into dread
The way you look into my eyes
The questions that ponder in my head
Don’t forget
The flashbacks come crashing
Don’t forget
I yell thrashing
Our hands are mingled, our laugh is endless
We run so fast, gasping for breath
Our eyes twinkle, our lips mischievous
You smirk knowing my weakness
My heart beating, us colliding
Your hand around me keeps me from falling
But at every last moment
You turn to me
Look at my face, say to me
You’ll love me much, hug me like no other
Kiss me much, say you’re my lover
Dance with me under the night sky
Say one thing, my heart will rise
But one by one, each piece breaks
Peeling off but you mask your face
Don’t let me know, don’t let it show
You fear I’ll break, right to the core
Tick by tick
You start to fade
Lose your emotions
Lose your faith
Don’t forget you keep on saying
Don’t regret what we are sharing
I’m confused but soon paralyzed
Can’t speak, too shocked to cry
You’re just lying, not moving at all
My hands tremble, to you I crawl
Your eyes so small, losing their color
Your face pale, one like no other
Your lips murmuring words I can’t process
Your heart beating, preparing for your last breath
Don’t forget you say one last time
Remember me as the love of your life
Don’t regret what we had
Our moments spent together make me glad
I’m not sorry, not at all
Cause my life gave me the best way to fall
Not down but in love
Not death but to you
The love of my life
You are what my life only knew
