GEODES' POV.
The man whispers something in Veeras' ear, and I feel a wave of nasuea pass through her to me.
I see her shaking, and try to find the recline button.
I find it, but it doesn't work.

I lean on her, trying to make her sit still.
Shaking isn't a normal human action, so I assume laying on them helps.

She hugs me, and I feel her sadness hit like ice.

I hug her back wih my wings as the cruser keeps driving.
Using my wing tip, I spear a strange white sheet.
I hand it to Veera, who hugs me tighter and accepts it.
She wipes her face, and the Chief looks away.

I ask him, "What happened?"

He tells me, "Her parents were stopped by bandits and killed. She will need a new place to live now. Thankully, my wife is understanding..,"
I'm about to ask why that affects us finding a new home, when the chief takes a rather quick turn.

We're on a dirt drive way, one of many.
It's covered in trees along the ditches, and I sense a wolf nearby.
I growl quietly, and lay on Veeras' lap.
I sit perfectly still, waiting for the wolf to appear.

Sure as day, it does.
It's the Chiefs' wolf, so we should be fine.
Then, an angry woman comes out, greying hair steaming out behind her.
A rolling pin in one hand, and her old apron say it all.
Her shawl and walking stick also contribute to the witch like look of the old bat.
At least, for me it does.
I didn't realize the Chief was that old! That's his wife!

They carry on a silent conversation for a long time while I calm Veera.

Then, the woman crows like an old witch, "I'm no witch! You proposed to me! Remember Max!"
The Chief seems flustered, and a bit red in his once dignified face.
He tries to calm his wife by saying, "Sweetie. Yes I remember... I just."
She crows, "Of course you do! Now what do you mean you just? You regrettin' boy? Huh? Wanna go?"

She's a frail thing, but her fists in the air are enough to back Max up.

In the cruser, we're laughing so hard we're red in the face ourselves.

We stay quiet, but we laugh so hard it's a wonder no one ever heard us.

Then, as if by magic, wanders to the cruser.
She looks in the window, and sees us laughing quietly.

She crows, and hurts my sensitive ears, "MAX! Why are there people in here? And a Silent Hearn? If your saying they need a home, you better know my answer by now."

I freeze, and look back at the woman.
I smile, and she gives me a crazy sideways glance.

I look at her a bit more, confused by her strange facial expressions.

She opens the cruser door, and hollers while shuffling off, "Well come on then! We don't gots all the dern day!"

Then, catching what she meant, I grab all the luggage possible.

I drag it towards the little house, and Max is trying not to show his loss of dignity. But, it's hard to miss.

Veera has the other bags now, and is chasing after me.

This could be interesting.
