"C-Chase?"
"You've already got my attention, just go."
I swallowed thickly, and took a deep breath.
"Iknowyou'rebionicbecauseI'mbionictoo." I rambled quickly.
Chase was dead silent, eyes widening.
I obviously just made a huge mistake.

"Davenport made you?!"
I sighed, "No, no. My parents didn't know him."
"Oh."
"All I know is my parents weren't my real parents. They said they would tell me when I was 'of age'. but..." I squeezed my eyes shut, "they can't exactly tell me now."
"Right," Chase confirmed, falling silent again.
I rested my head on the back of the elevator, wishing I were anywhere but here.
