I woke up to find that I wasn't alone in my bed.

"Hadrian, get out." He continued sleeping leaving me trapped under his arm. I didn't want to be his human teddy bear so I started poking his face.

"What do you want?" he said his voice husky with sleep. I almost forgot what I was going to say.

"Can you get off me?" I said wriggling.

"Can you stop? You're putting me in an uncomfortable position." My eyes widened and I stopped moving. He finally removed his arm and I jumped out of my bed. Hadrian rolled over and went back to sleep. On my bed.

I began reviewing my situation. I was sharing a room with a topless guy who was currently still in my bed. That didn't sound too bad... I grabbed my things and shut myself in the bathroom. I leaned against the door sighing. Maybe something normal would happen.

As I was showering, I heard a knock from outside the bathroom. I guessed that Hadrian answered the room door as I heard the sound of it closing. I jumped out of the shower and put on my clothes to find out who it was.

"Hadrian, who- Oh my gosh! Helios!" I ran to him and gave him a hug. He laughed and embraced me back.

"Hey little Ree."

"Where have you been?" I let go of him to look at his face.

"He's been with his grandparents. Didn't he tell you?" Hadrian said annoyed. He picked up some things and entered the bathroom, slamming the door on the way. Helios and I stared at the door.

"Why is he here?"

"Pia invited him to be my temporary roommate."

"Hmm. I think he's jealous."

"Of what? I'm not dating him or you. No offence."

Helios waved it off smiling. "None taken. I only see you as a friend." I put my hand to my heart and pouted.

"My heart is broken," I said dramatically.

"Well, you have a guy here to fix that." He squeezed my cheeks. "Aw, Ree. You're becoming a real woman."

I hit him then went to brush my hair. "Why are you here anyway Helios?"

Helios shrugged. "I'm here to invite you to the water fight in the pool."

"I thought it was locked?"

He brought out a brass key from his pocket. "We may have made a copy. So get your swimming things." I did as he said and got my bikini and towel.

"I don't have a gun."

"Taken care of. Can we go?" He pleaded.

"Go where?" Hadrian asked coming back into our room. Well, my room. He was barefooted and wearing a grey shirt with black jogging bottoms.

"Water fight," I answered. Helios pulled me out of the door impatient.

"No time to waste. Hadrian, I'll see you there right?" he said in a rush.

"Yeah. I'll see you soon."

The door closed and Helios quickly grabbed my swimwear.

"Wow Rhea. It looks nice with all the little gold chains. The black will just go perfectly with your tanned skin."

"... Are you okay?" I was confused by his outburst.

"I'm not gay. I like girls. I'm just checking what Hadrian will be drooling over later."

I snatched my bikini from his hands blushing. "He won't because we're barely friends so hush and start walking."

Around 20 people were waiting outside the building for the pool. Helios clapped his hands for their attention.

"My brethren... Hey Zack! Anyway, this is the 5th annual swimming war. I have put you in teams. You're either on the red or blue team. The objective is to throw the other team into the pool. The team with the most people standing wins. Luckily you can't slip but we have healers in case for people like Jonathan. On the red team we have..."

Helios read out the names and I was on the blue team with him. Everyone was given waterproof paint to streak on their body so we knew who was on the other team. As we were about to enter the pool room, Hadrian walked in late wearing black swimming shorts. The girls began whispering at the sight of his abs.

"Hadrian, my brother. You're on the red team." Helios pointed to the other side of the room where people were standing covered in red. Hadrian looked at me but walked to the opposite side and grabbed a water gun like the rest of us.

"Three... Two...One... Go!" We charged towards each other with people immediately falling into the water. A water fae commanded a wave to crash into a group of people on the other team. Some shifted into fishes while the rest of us used the classic water guns.

Seeing the chaos happening around me, I opted for the more cowardly approach - I hid behind the viewing seats. The room was like a mini Olympic swimming stadium so had rows and rows of seats making me almost invisible. Almost because someone tapped me on my shoulder. I turned to see Hadrian grinning holding a water gun to my head.

"Oh sh*t," I whispered. I stood up slowly and raised my arms in surrender. "I come in peace. Don't harm me."

"Sorry but I think you need to cool off. You're looking..." He picked me up bridal style and walked towards the pool. "A little hot."

"Hadrian, release me now!" I started pulling his hair as I had limited options.

"I didn't know you liked it rough," he said winking.

"Don't you dare throw me-" I didn't finish my sentence as I hit the water but I wasn't alone as Hadrian fell in with me. I swam to the top to find out why and saw the culprit smiling at me.

"You can thank me later," Helios said spraying water in my face.
