There is a certain stillness
found in the nightA low hum of the ceiling fan, a sliver of light seeping through the gap in the curtains, a slight breeze coming from the window
A single moment
Is all it takes
To findStillness.
In that moment of stillness
The world is quiet
At rest
From the loudness, the screaming, the chaos. There is a certain stillness
Found in the nightWhere there is beauty
Where there is purityThe lights go dim,
And we are all left with
The darknessThe silence.
In the dark, we see what the world hides
And we find what is hidden within ourselvesThere is a certain stillness
Found in the nightA low hum, a sliver of light seeping through the curtains, a slight breeze coming from the crack in the window
A single moment
Of purity.
