eleven. stiles, the messenger

Faye and the two boys sat at the steps of the stairs, sat close to each other to create some space wherein some people can pass through. It wasn't good for Faye considering she's sitting beside Scott McCall, their jean clad knees pressed to each other but the blonde girl was making sure that she wasn't that close to him with her heart beating wildly against her chest. It frustrated her on why she's experiencing these kinds of reactions towards the werewolf. Being clueless to things gets her agitated and frustrated.

"I'm so sorry about the other day. I'm trying. We'll get through this. Uh- I know because I love you. I love you more than-" Faye bit her lower lip as Stiles struggled to spit out the whole sentence. She was grinning while biting her lower lip, trying to avoid the moment wherein she'll laugh at his struggle. However, the son of the Sheriff, saw the blonde girl that caused him to narrow his eyes at her and let out a groan, stopping. "I can't- You and Allison just have to find a better way to communicate." He exasperated, shaking his head as he looked at his best friend. "Or Faye should be the one doing this, not me!" He exclaimed, pointing his index finger at the blonde girl.

Scott's mouth was agape as he stared at his best friend with disbelief, "Come on, you're the only one that we can trust–" He was cut off by Faye who cleared her throat, raising her eyebrow at the McCall boy. "–well, besides Faye but she wouldn't do it. Anyways, Is she coming to the game tonight?"

"Yes! Okay, message complete. Now, tell me about your boss?" Stiles urged, scooting closer to his best friend, if possible. It didn't amuse anyone because this was his typical behavior when it comes to topics like this.

"He thinks that Allison's family keeps some kind of records of all the things that they've hunted. Like a book." Scott explained, looking ahead as he thought about his conversation with Deaton.

Faye's eyebrows furrowed, clueless about it. She hasn't heard about it before so it was foreign to her. Instead of joining in the conversation like she used to, she remained silent. She'd rather listen than talk about things that makes no sense at all and it will drive the two boys in confusion.

Stiles nodded to himself, "He probably means a bestiary." He stated, staring off into a distance while Faye looked unamused. She always knew that Stiles is the smart one in their group.

"What?" His best friend asked, raising an eyebrow at Stiles.

Faye mumbled, "A bestiary." Repeating what Stiles said even though she doesn't know what that looks like at all. "I just repeated it. I don't actually know what it looks like." She defended herself once Scott gave her a shocked look.

However, Scott ignored the blonde girl as his eyes focused on his smart best friend with a grin on his face. He actually thought that it was hilarious considering that he thought that his best friend is wrong. "I think you mean bestiality." He corrected, proud of what he said.

Stiles shook his head with furrowed eyebrows. "Nope, pretty sure I don't. It's like an encyclopedia of mythical creatures."

This caused the McCall boy to throw his hands up in the air in disbelief and frustration. "How am I the only one who doesn't know anything about this stuff."

"Well, I don't know what that is also." Faye stated, shrugging.

"Unbel– Okay, both of you are my friends, you guys are a creature of the night. I mean, Faye is kind one half– anyways, it's kind of like a priority of mine." Stiles said, patting Scott's shoulder gently while giving Faye a smile.
