Nica's POV

(Nica, nasan ka na ba?)

I couldn't see my mom's expression but I know exactly how she looks like right now..

"mom! relax! it's still early.."

(relax? how ca you tell me to relax when it's past seven and your future mother-in-law will be here at 8 with your fiance? huh Nica? tell me!)

I rolled my eyes everytime I hear that fiance thing so it's just normal to roll my eyes this time,,

"Awryt mom! I'm on my way! bye!"

I pressed the end call button and rolle dmy eyes again,, I sprayed some perfume and faced the mirror..

"okay Nica, inhale...exhale...woooh!!"

I studied myself on the mirror. Am i really ready for this? This is going to be my future right? Am I really going to the path my mom has made for me?? Ugh! there are so many thoughts in my mind.. What if he's a drug lord? a criminal? I still have time to escape?? ugh! silly..my mom won't do that to me.. besides, I'm not getting any younger and I don't have a stable relationship right now.. maybe, this is really my destiny..

"whatever!! kahit ano pa yan?? you are still Nica Rhys.. pag di mo kinaya at di mo nagawa, ii di hindi na ikaw si Nica.. You can do it!!"

I told my reflection on the mirror.. I saw it shook its head! Psh! I forgot that the girl in the mirror is me.. I grabbed my pouch and search for my keys which has mine and Jill's picture on the chain.. I sat on the chair still my eyes on the chain ..

"hayyyy.. kung nandito lang siya.. she could help me decide.. she knows what to do.. kamusta na kaya yun?? haven't talk to her in a while.. "

"ako ba yun?"

Napalingon ako sa pinto ang it was Jill.. standing there with here arms crossed while smiling so sweetly.. awwww.. I missed her so much..

"JILL!!"

I stood up in so much excitement..

"yes, happy to see me?"

"but of course.."

i hugged her and when she finally set free, she looked at me..

"so, san ang lakad??"

and that's whe I realized, I was late..

"oh my gosh!! late na ako! tara na!"

I grabbe her on the wrist

"teka! san ba tayo pupunta??"

I did not even bother.. I was consciously looking at my wristwatch every now and then..

“basta! Sumunod ka na lang ! leave your car here! It’s safe ..”

I said before immediately hopping inside my car

“teka! Teka! Teka!”

She peeked in

“yung bag ko!”

“ha? Bat mo iniwan??”

Nak ng tokwa naman tong si Jill, kung kelan nagmamadali.. tsaka naman kinalimutan.. naku! Anong petsa kami dadating dun??

“hello?? Iniwa ka jan!!  bigla mo na lang kaya akong hinatak dito..”

“ou na! sige na! bilisan mo!! 8:10 na oh..”

She ran inside the house, buti na lang nandun malapit sa pinto si ate Marcy at napagbuksan siya agad..

“Got it!!”
