Chapter 35: Another Chance

"You finally have a bit of colour!" Avan cheered

"I was under the sun, what do you think will happen? I get paler?" I shot back sassily

Luke chuckled and smiled.

"Why is Luke quiet?" I whispered to Calum

He shrugged and walked away to buy our food.

"Skyler?" Luke mumbled

I looked at him waiting for him to continue.

"Can we talk?" He asked

I glanced at Ashton silently asking him what to do. He nodded his head to Luke, gesturing for me to talk to him.

I mentally groaned before standing up and walking a few feet away from them, Luke walking to where I was standing.

"Look, I'm sorry I left you. I didn't know you felt that way so I thought you were fine. I was a shitty brother for not noticing it and for not being there for you in a long time." He breathed out quickly

I hummed and nodded my head, looking away from him.

"You're probably still mad at me but please, please give me another chance of being the brother you deserve." He begged, his voice wavering

"Its hard, Luke." I looked down as tears started blurring my vision

"I know but please, Skyler. I'm begging you." He cried

I shook my head when tears started rolling down my cheeks and engulfed Luke in a hug.

"Thank you." He whispered and kissed the top of my head

"I'm going back to the waters." I said, avoiding eye contact

I walked back to our group and tapped Michael.

"You okay?" He stood up

"Yeah. Can you go with me?" I asked him as I directed towards the sea

"Sure." He nodded and pulled me towards the water

We slowly swam a bit before stopping and standing where the water reach Michael's stomach.

"You know we haven't catch up ever since you joined the tour." He smiled and hugged me

I place my arms around his hips and laid my head on his chest, staring at the sunset.

"Well how's life then?" I asked

"Ya know. Touring, jet lag." He laughed

I laughed a bit and said, "I mean how's Michael? How has my best friend been?"

"Well nothing really changed since I was before." He mumbled

"You were a virgin before." I snickered

"I still am." He whispered

I pulled back slightly to look at him better.

"Are you serious?" I gaped

He nodded and smiled at me.

"Why?" I asked as we returned to our previous position

"I'm waiting for someone." He whispered very quietly

"Who?" I asked

"Not important. How about you?" He dismissed the topic of him still being a virgin

"I am." I nodded

"Virgin buddies!" He sang making me burst out laughing and soon he joined me, laughing really loudly
