I step out of work and let out a long sigh and look up at the sky, the sun is shining so hard I put my shades on making my way home my phone

buzzes I take it out and it's a message from Hee on Facebook.

Hey Denise

I'm in the area come down to the cafe around
10 mins?

I reply to the message

Be there soon
See u then.

I wonder what she wants to talk about? I can't tell her how much I miss her brother slowly, taking my time I make my way to the cafe thinking

about Akio how he made me laugh, made me angry I sigh when Aaron comes to my mind I wonder how I should let him go.

I get to the cafe and order a drink I sit in a booth it's 5:15pm a few school kids are walking past laughing with each other one oc them recognises

me and waves.

As I wait for Hee my phone buzzes I look and it's a text from Aaron where are you? I put my phone down, five minutes later my phone rings I let it ring for a while before I answer

Didn't you get my text?

Yes

Why didn't you text back?

Didn't want to

Where are you?

Where are you?

Stop playing -

Then leave me alone Aaron!

Denise don't -

I hung up the phone and smiled my happiness slowly turned to sadness, regretting what I did just then Hee came in I waved for her to see me and stood up "long time no see" she says as we hug and sit down "how have you been?" I ask her she smiles and orders her drink "I'm good. Just busy

"her drink comes she lays her hands on the table and looks at me with a serious look on her face.

"Denise. . . I called you here because we need to talk, My brother hasn't been himself since you left I thought he would get over it but he hasnt" I

nod my head and look at the table if only she knew how I felt . "He's crazy about you. I don't usually get involved with his affairs but I like you

Denise You complete him and make him happy" I sigh at the relief at least he's thinking about me. I sip my drink "Hee . . . This. . . -" she cuts me

off "I know it's a load to carry but PLEASE take him back" I laugh at her before I answer "sorry. . . To be honest. . . I'm relived that he's thinking

about me I really need to speak to him" she nods. Just then Aaron steps in and comes straight towards me "so this is why you didn't answer me?

Having coffee with your little friend?" I sigh closing my eyes and rubbing my temples. . . I've had enough . . . "Let's go" he snaps at me I sip my

drink. Hee looks at Aaron shocked at his behaviour "Aaron. . . Get out of here now" I say calmly he looks at me "we will talk when we get home-"

I stand up "home? You mean my house! You don't live at my house or pay my bills" my feet move towards him I don't even know that I've moved

and now standing right in front of him "I'm sick and tired of you calling texting questioning EVERYTHING EVERYDAY of my life, you sick,

insecure, incompetent brain dead loser with no backbone! You better leave me alone find someone else's life to mess up" at that moment all the

staff and customers froze all eyes were,on us I didn't know how loud I was. Aaron looked down I turned around to go back to my seat "NOOO!"

Someone screamed I turned around and saw him come for me I picked up a chair but Hee somehow hit him in the back and knocked him down.

I looked at her and at everyone else applause were going around with cheers the manager came out and lifted Aaron up "the police are here for

you " he takes him outside.

"Woah Hee. . . Your strong!" She laughs at me as we thank the manager apologise to everyone and leave. I look at the ground "so, are you going to

give Akio a chance?" I look at the ground trying to hide My smile "we'll see."

I finally get home to my new house I couldn't take my old place anymore Aaron had only been here once and tried so many times to move in

I laid on my bed staring out of the window. The view is beautiful. I was thinking about the events that took place what a day I say to myself. I hear screams and applauds outside what's going on? I got up and went to the front door.

I step out and look at the house at the far end a truck and a car is outside kids looking at the house teen girls screaming. I wonder what's going on?

I go back inside my house.

The next week I get home and come out of my car my two neighbors Mrs Donaldson and Ms Johnson who are two doors down from me come

over "we're going to greet the new neighbors you coming?" Mrs Donaldson says. Mrs Donaldson was the first person I met here, she's been here

for 26 years very welcoming and takes no nonsense her honesty was funny to me. "No" I shook my head "why?" Ms Johnson asked she's divorced

with no children only a few years older than me, she apparently got the house when she split from Mr Johnson and has been looking for a man

since. I shrugged "don't feel like it"

Ms Johnson sulks while holding a basket of cookies and treats I look at the basket and take the chocolate one out "that's for our neighbour" she

snaps and snatches it for me "but I'm hungry" I say and take it back. We laugh as I see a figure coming out of a car "oh there he is" she says

We watch as he comes out with a woman "who is she?" Johnson asks I shrug and put my bag on my shoulder and take out my keys as I turn to my

door I hear my name "DENISE!" I follow the voice and see That it was Hee she waves and motions for me to come.

The figure looks at me and walks towards me I walk towards the house and see him Akio I stop as he walks towards me with a smile across his

face "Denise" he says I walk to him and we hug for a while.
