Chapter 23-- Ceremony from Hell

*****Nikita POV*****

Staring in my full length mirror at my reflection in this beautiful dress Rosa bought me for the ceremony tonight. My father said he wants to celebrate my birthday tomorrow since the ceremony is falling on my birthday. But hey I am 18 right now and I feel fine no changing yet, all I have to do is pray through the day I don't shift into the wolf they were talking about. The ceremony starts in few hours more like two! So I have to go get my hair done before.

Walking down the hallway towards Rosa room I couldn't help but feel bad going with a different man than Damon. Tonight I would have been introduced as the Luna but since I rejected him it is not going to happen. Or is it? I came up to Rosa's door and knocked lightly, "Come in Nikita." She responded. How did she know that it was me or how did she not know. Duh she is a wolf she can scent me thinking about it, it is so weird that I am living in a house full of dogs and I am the only human.

"Hey," I greeted her. "Hello Sweetie. Have a seat right here." She pointed at a chair in front of her make-up table. She started brushing my hair and brought memories of when I was a little girl and my mom use to brush my hair and give me daughterly attention. "Wow I actually miss this." I mumbled out. "Miss what?" she asked still continuing to brush my long black hair. "My mom use to brush my hair every night and sing to me. But that was until she lost it and stop focusing on me and focused on her love life instead." She looked at me through the mirror and gave me soft smile. "Well anytime you want your hair played with or someone to talk to I am down the hallway. I would love to be around you as if you were my own blood." When she explained that it put a smile on my face but I saw her frowning. I knew something had to happen... "Explain what you mean Rosa?" I asked softly grabbing her hand and turning toward her.

"Well your father and I were pregnant few months back before we got here. I was going to have an adorable heir of Ronald's and he was going to be a great third command like his father. But... we had miscarriage... the doctor told me it is going to be hard for me to carry a baby because I have bad ovaries." A tear slowly went down her face and I couldn't help but tear up too.

I stood up and hugged her, "Rosa I would be glad to be around you as my mother and I believe one day you will have a heir that will grow up strong." She giggled in my arms and made a comment that hurt my heart in regret. "Too bad the Alpha screwed up because you would be wonderful Luna."  She smiled and sat me down to continue my hair. I gave a light smile and brushed it off...

Putting on my make up in my room and listening to soft rock on the radio. While Rhiana talked to me about her boyfriend away at college that she met on face book few months ago. I just laugh at her story about how she can't wait to take him on a washing machine and everywhere else she named. "You are a freak Rhiana you know that?" I giggled walking toward my closest to put on my black pumps with the red on the back to match my Red long dress that fit tight around my chest and flowed down after that.

"What can I say I want to fuck the entire time girl, and he keeps dirty talking me on the phone? He is going to get what he deserves. Come on if you were with someone you love wouldn't you want to do it everywhere?" she questioned me.  I giggled but frowned at last part I would love to be with Damon right now but no he had to screw up.

"You look amazing you right?" I smiled at Rhiana "Yes I am ready and you look amazing too!"

We walked down the stairs and the front door opened and Ryan entered. "Wow your beautiful!" he smiled and kissed my hand I blushed and Rhiana patted me on the back and walked toward the back patio. "Shall we?" He said. "Of course!" I said connecting my arm in lock with his.
