Shadowpaw winced as Blacktail, Sandclan's medicine cat, pressed cobwebs on her shoulder. Then she chewed some chervil leaves into a paste and placed them on the wound on Shadowpaw's side. "Next time, be more careful, Shadowpaw" Blacktail mewed, tutting at all the scars. Shadowpaw's eyes went deep green and she smiled. "That's what I get for being a good fighter, though. You should've seen me, I even had Skystar pinned!" she bragged, her tail fluffing ourwards. Blacktail smiled, covering up the rest of Shadowpaw's wounds with cobwebs. "Still. I heard Bloodstar talking outside, I do believe two toms are waiting to see you" she laughed, watching Shadowpaw gush red.
"Oh shush. But can I please go now? I feel fine" she hissed, but with a gentle tone. Blacktail nodded and smiled.
Shadowpaw got up from Blacktail's grip and padded out the den, to be greeted by Mistpaw. He licked her ear and smiled. "Oh thank goodness you're alright. We saw Skystar attacking you and got worried" he mewed, turning to Darkpelt.
"Even though you're wounded, we will continue training as normal tomorrow. But I will let you rest, and you can do dawn patrol the day after tomorrow" he explained, licking his white paw. Shadowpaw nodded and padded into the apprentice den. Shadowpaw never really took notice of the other apprentices, but this time Lightningpaw and Fernpaw were in the corner swiftly whispering to eachother, eyeing Shadowpaw suspiciously. I wonder what they are talking about, Shadowpaw thought to herself, but she was too tired to think, and instantly fell asleep.
She woke up, yawning, and stretched. The other apprentices were all gone. Dawn patrol. She didn't want to stay bored, so she left the den, dragging her heavy bones with her. Might aswell do some hunting.
Shadowpaw leapt onto the vole, killing it in one bite. She smiled at her excellent kill. Suddenly, a twig snapped. Her fur went on end, as she whipped her head around, looking for where the sound came from. She sniffed. Streamclan.. she hissed to herself, noticing a white blur in the trees. "Cloudypaw, get down. I'm not going to hurt you" she growled, sheathing back her claws. The white she-cat jumped down from the tree, fear in her eyes. "Shadowpaw, you're on Streamclan territory. Kindly back off or I'll tell Skystar to kill you here and now" she spat, her fur bristling. Shadowpaw smiled and shook her head. "Oh, so you're just gonna run back to the leader so she can kill me instead of you? That's acting like a kit, grow up" she sniggered, smirking with amusement. Cloudypaw un-sheathed her claws and hissed. "I said, back off, or I'll make you sorry!" she hissed. Shadowpaw smiled. So, this was an angry medicine cat apprentice. "Sorry, Cloudypaw. But I think you'll find that you are on Sandclan territory. But I don't give chances, and I won't tell Bloodstar to kill you" she grinned, un-sheathing her claws back out
"Instead... I'll do it myself" she purred, and slashed into Cloudypaw's throat.
