Yet again another cliche moment.

When one of the main characters is kidnapped and someone has to save them.

This is one of the most cliche of cliches ever.

If your story is about a superhero, or its a thriller I can see why you'd put it in there. But when you're writing a regular love story or something, wHy are you getting kidnapped?

Who is this random villian and why did they show up so suddenly? Why have they decided to hold a grunge for 25 years only to kidnap your characters boyfriend/girlfriend?
