I fought to keep my breathing even because after so long, here he was on one knee and there was a black box in his hand and—

My brain fought wildly to keep up because he was down on one knee in front of me. Ideas of the future ran through my mind.
We would get married both ways, I thought, and we would have 4 kids. Two girls and two boys. Jaky and Wilson would be the names of two.
He stood and I held out my hand. He slowly slipped in the ring and when it was in all the way, he kissed my hand before laying a gentle kiss on my forehead.
He lowered his face towards me, cupping my cheek and kissed me. I felt my heart beat loudly in my chest. I returned the kiss.
Did he head it ? Did he hear how loud he made my heart beat ?
I would spend the rest of life with this man because I loved him so.
