I blankly stared out the window.
How could I have know that it was to end this way? Him gone six states away and I leaving to Canada?
" Are you sure you want to go to Quebec with me ? You can always stay at the house." Mother asked glancing at me before giving her full attention to the road.
" By myself?" To drown in my sadness and be miserable ? I turned to look at her, " No thanks."
" I'm worried about you, honey. You've been really quiet lately and usually you won't shut your mouth."
I turn away and glare out the window.
Michigan was the last place I wanted to be.
" I'm sure. Besides, Canada isn't that far from home." I mumbled.
My mother sighed and left the topic drop.
