Chapter Seven Sink Or Swim?

I sit with Lyla as we wait for Shane. Lyla wanted to meet both of them, but Ian couldn't make it. We're at a coffee shop that's close to my house. I brought a couple of family albums for him to look through. He said he'd do the same. 'What do you think it'll be like? Seeing pictures of my dad with a totally different family I mean?' I sign

'It's gonna be hard, but that's why I'm here.' She signs

"Here he comes." I tell her

We look to see Shane walk in wearing an Asking Alexandria shirt wiht dark skinny jeans and a beanie. "Hey." He says as he sits down across from us

"Hey." Lyla and I greet him at the same exact time

"Here's the book..." He says awkwardly as he hands us the scap book

I exchange mine for his. I flip it open and see my dad with another woman. She's pregnant. She's kissing my dad. How do I know he's my dad? Well 'cause he looks just like Xander. My mom always said out of all five of us Xander looked the most like our so infamous dead beat. 'Whoa. That's crazy. He looks so much like Xander and-and you Auggie.' Lyla signs to me

'Don't say he looks like me. I can barely handle the fact that I'm staring at Xander's twin! Let alone knowing he sorta looks like me....' I sign

I look up to see Shane. He looks as pale as a ghost looking through the book. He closes it and sets it down on the coffee table infront of us. He says something, but I don't catch what he says. I look to Lyla with a confused look on my face. 'He said it was too much to take in all at once.' She signs

"I know what you mean." I tell him as I flip through the book some more

Jace's POV

I sit with Hanna in my room. "I'm sorry for the way you acted." She tells me as she sniffles

"You are?" I ask her

"Of course! I would never mean to hurt you on purpose Jay! You know I love you! I never meant to cheat on you!"

"You're really, truly sorry?"

"I am!"

"And you'll never do it again?"

"I promise! I'll stop taking to Craig and Austin if that's what it takes!"

I caress her cheek. "I love you so much." I tell her

"I love you too." She tells me

For a second I swear I could see the fact that she was lying. It was written all over her beautiful face. But I love her, how could I not forgive her?

Criss's POV

 Luke wants to come over so he drove me home. "Are you sure you're sure? I mean my familys' insane! It's not too late to turn back now if you've changed your mind! I'd totally understand." I tell him nervously

"Oh, come on Christofer! They can't be that bad!" He scoffs

"What's your definition of bad again?"

"Criss seriously! Just open the door!"

"Okay, okay...." I open the door and see Jace and Hanna watching a movie with Xander. Xander doesn't allow people under 18 to be alone with girlfriends or in my case boyfriends over. I've never honestly cared for that rule. I've never had a boyfriend before Luke. Auggie, Jace and for a long while Eli hated this rule. We walk in and I close the door behind Luke. "Hey my clone! Who's that?" Jace asks me

"Uh, my-my-my...he's my...." I stutter like an idiot as I try to tell them who Luke is

"I'm Luke, his boyfriend." Luke introduces himself as he walks over to Xander and extends his hand towards him
