Silence [COMPLETE]

i want to live without him.

She was home alone. She didn't know where he was and frankly, she didn't care. It was after seven and he still wasn't home from work. The maid had left a little while ago even though she was slightly hesitant as he wasn't home yet, but today she just couldn't wait any longer.

She was home alone, and that was all that mattered.

It was the first time that something like this happened. It was the first time that she was free to do what she wanted.

Honestly, she knew that he could walk in at any moment and that would be her freedom flying out the window but once again, she didn't care.

Already dressed in her black silk pyjamas, a button up shirt and matching shorts, she paraded around the house with her earphones plugged in, listening to a random assortment of songs and tunes from an iPod which she had swiped from his bedside cabinet a few months ago. She was sure that he had noticed it missing but not once did he mention it.

An hour passed and she was cleaning up some flour which had fallen onto the floor when she had been baking her mouthwatering chocolate fudge cake.

She believed this to be her famous recipe despite the fact that she couldn't remember where she had learnt this from. And there was also the fact that he absolutely loved her cake. But she ignored this.

Instead of watching Gordon Ramsey as per usual whenever he was around, she turned to watch a show which she had recorded earlier this week: Jane the Virgin.

He had always assumed that it was the maid who watched all of these shows but he couldn't have been more wrong.

It was only when she was halfway into the second episode of the second season and her third scoop of ice cream did the front door open and close with a soft click resounding through the apartment.

He stunbled into the room, bracing his arms on the doorway as he studied her. She did the same.

He couldn't help but admire her beauty, her luscious red locks and the sharp angle of her nose, even the smudge of chocolate which she had gotten on her chin.

And she couldn't help but stare at him, worried.
