A long time ago a baby was born
Her hair so gold it was white
She was a happy child full of beauty
But one day a monster came and stole it from her
She began to grow up hating how she looked
She was a happy child full of love
But one day a monster came and stole it from her
She began to grow up sad
She didn't want her loved ones to know who she was inside
So she ran away
Alone she was finally able to think for herself and thought maybe it'd be best to go home
While walking she was stolen away by the same monster who stole her beauty and grace
She was forced to be locked in a tower
She sits alone and cold she misses who she used to be
From her window she can see everything she loves continuing on and leaving her behind
She sits at that window every day every night
So it was a surprise to her instead of watching out the window someone was watching her through it
His eyes held a feeling of calm and childishness
His demeanor was daring and suave
He had climbed her tower without her knowing
He placed his hand upon the glass
Intrigued she put hers against it as well
He took a hand off and made a fist
Afraid she stepped aside and he smashed
The glass was shattered it fell to bits
He climbed in and took her hand with his
"MADDIE!"
The image shatters and I bring my head up from my desk
"Yeah Mr. O'Neil?"
It's fading out of sight now
Let me go back to sleep
"Do you care to tell us how the murders of the reign of terror were carried out?"
A sigh, "Wasn't it done by grape shot or guillotine, or something?"
"That's right although I suggest you stay awake in my class from now on."
"Of course, sorry about that." Oh no the dream is it still here?!
It's gone, wait... There it is, how does it end?
Still in the tower, with her guest
