Once again, the mighty KingBritain got himself tagged in another fun little writing challenge, and since he's so regal and mighty, not many actually managed to get close enough to gain his trust for him to pass the tag onto, except me. And when his majesty tags you in a challenge, tagging out is not an option. So here it is, my pop at making something scary out of 100 words, exact. Enjoy!
"So you haven't heard anything at all today?"
He scanned the room nervously.
"N...no, ma'am. I'm... I'm scared. They've never left me alone like this. I...I don't know what to do. They sounded very frightened last time they were here. I'm worried someth...something bad might have happened."
"Nothing bad, Mr. Malony," the woman smiled. "Marvelous, actually! The voices in your head are gone, that means our operation was a success."
He stared.
"The drugs will wear of soon. But as far as we're concerned, you're cured."
The words rang in his empty mind.
They took them away. He was alone.
