Chapter 16

The next morning Niall came to pick Demi up and together they drove to Niall's house.

When they walked in both his mother and brother hugged him happily.

He introduced Demi and Greg and they seemed to get along really well.

"Where's dad?” Niall asked, looking around with a confused look.

His mom looked at him sadly. He just kept looking between his mother and brother waiting for one of them to say something.

"Mom? Where is he?” he asked again.

"He couldn't come Ni...” his brother said putting his hand on Niall's shoulder.

"Well that's cool... Next time you talk to him mom, tell him I want nothing to do with him, ever again.” Niall said.

"Niall.. don't say that, he's your father.” his mom said.

"Oh, really, are you sure? I'm not even sure I still remember his face!” he said angruly with tears in his eyes.

"Oh, Ni. I'm so sorry..” his mom said.

"Just don't forget to tell him what I asked.” he said coldly.

"Well, you guys made plans to celebrate my birthday so let's do this!” he said.

"You sure?” Demi asked him.

"Yes. I won't let him ruin my birthday or my time with my family.” he said.

They went out and ate at a restaurant and after that just talked.

It was getting a little late so Demi and Niall had to start driving back since they had school the next day.

Niall tried hiding it but Demi could see he was down because of his dad.

She was so angry at his dad. How could he do that on Niall's birthday no less.

She decided she was going to get his number and talk to him, maybe if someone will tell him how hurt Niall is he will finally understand and be around a little more or at least apologize.

Tomorrow was the day in which they were required to preform in music class. Demi was nervous but decided to get over it and just enjoy it and remember all the other times when she was scared but the second she started singing it all faded and she just felt amazing.

Even though she loved Heart Attack she decided to sing another song.

She had written many sings but she wasn't ready to show many of them.

The next morning the girls all got ready and Demi put just a little more effort into her appearance. She wanted to show everyone what she had to offer. She was happy because for the first time she wasn't insecure before preforming. She couldn't wait to preform her song.

They all got to the class and took their seats. Niall arrived with Justin a few minutes later and took a seat right behind Demi.

The teacher came in with someone she said was from Hollywood Records.

A few people preformed, they were all pretty good. Then Ariana went up, she sang a Katy Perry song, she was really good. Then Selena went, she was pretty good too but she wasn't really trying to get the contract, acting was much more her thing rather than singing.

Next up was Miley. She sang an original. It was called Goodbye. She played the piano and sang

She was amazing and everybody clapped wildly. She smiled and got off the stage.

It was finally Demi's turn. She went up with a guitar and started playing a song she wrote, 'Catch Me'.

Demi's voice left everyone with their mouth open. It was unbelievable how strong, confident and just simply amazing her voice was. Everyone were on their feet clapping. Demi felt almost embarrassed, she smiled happily and left the stage.

“Wow, Dems! Just wow..” Miley said looking at her with a proud look.

“Thanks..” she said.

 Niall leaned forward in his chair and kissed the top of her head. "You were amazing." he said.

Niall went up next. He sang 'Run' by Snow Patrol'.

It was really good and Demi was really proud of him. She loved his voice.

After all the students sang the guy from Hollywood Records asked to talk privately with both Miley and Demi.
