Chapter Twenty-Nine

Chapter Twenty-Nine:

"Holy shit, I'm so exhausted," Landon breathed as we cuddled in bed, our naked forms pressing against each other, sharing body heat from one another.

"Same here," I huffed, trying to get comfortable again.

"Your tummy is getting bigger," Landon stated as he rubbed it gently. "That means the babies are coming soon, well not soon, but sooner than they were before."

"I know, I'm so excited, I-" my –probably long- ramble was cut off by the front door opening and shutting and running footsteps coming up the stairs. Oh shit, oh no, please no!

"Dakota, hey, I-" Johannah started to say but was cut off by Natalia's girlish scream.

"You guys missed school because you were having sex? Are you kidding me?" Natalia yelled loudly. "That's so bad Dakota; get out of bed, right now!"

I grinned sheepishly at my best friends, thankful that Johnathon decided to wait in the hallway, away from my bedroom door. "I kind of can't get out of bed right now... I'm naked." My cheeks seared a bright pink and I couldn't help but burrow my face into Landon's neck as he laughed loudly. Wow, thanks Landon for laughing at me because we're naked underneath the covers while my best friends come in here and demand me to get up out of bed.

"You would think you would be dressed by now!" Johnathon yelled from the doorway.

"We fell asleep," Landon stated, amusement shinning in those gorgeous, exotic eyes of his. I slapped him lightly on the chest, making him laugh again and kiss the side of my head. "Smack me again and I'll rip the covers off of you."

My head shot up and my hands reached out for the blankets, "Are you kidding me? You can't do that to me!"

"Why couldn't I? It's not like you weren't thinking about pulling the covers off of me."

"So, that's beside's the point, my friends were asking how... big you are, and you know that. They wouldn't mind seeing for themselves."

"The girls were asking, not me, even though they have boyfriends they don't care, obviously!" Johnathon yelled again.

"Okay," Landon stated and started to pull the covers off of him. He got down to about his hips just below the bellybutton and he stopped, laughing at my horrified look, shocked, speechless. The girls were pretty speechless too, and drooling over his awesome body.

"Okay, we're just going to go, I just wanted to see why you stayed home, but I guess I got my answer," Johannah quickly said and ran out of the room.

"Yeah, bye," Natalia and Johnathon chorused.

"I can't believe you!" I half yelled when I heard the door downstairs shut. I buried my face into Landon's neck again and I started to laugh uncontrollably. "I thought you were actually going to take the blanket off of you, I was so going to beat you after, but I didn't really know what to do at the time. I was scared."

"Awe c'mon, you're the only girl that's ever going to see me naked again, unless your mom or brother walks in on us when we are too caught up in the moment," he teased, but I knew he was dead serious.

"Yeah, whatever, I can't say the same thing." I tried to act serious but I knew that he would know I was lying; my eye twitched and he can usually tell when I'm lying or not, no matter what.

"Yes you can, because you know it's true. You love me, and we're going to spend the rest of our lives together." Landon was now hovering above me... again. I could feel the tingles in my body when he said that we're going to spend the rest of our lives together even if I already knew that. We were engaged after all, and even though most marriages don't work nowadays, I have a really good feeling about mine and Landon's.
