Chapter Twenty-Seven:

"I'm putting this on your corkboard when we get home," Landon beamed as we drove back home, hand-in-hand. I couldn't help but smile at him; we were having twins, this is one of the most important times in our life; who would have guessed that I, I mean we, would be having twins on the first try. Not that we were trying to have children; but still it happened on the first time we had any type of intercourse.

"Sounds great, but I have something that's going to burst your little bubble..." I stated, trying to make him guess what was about to happen.

"Nothing can burst my bubble right now," Landon laughed as he looked over to me with a knowing look. There's no way he can know exactly what I'm thinking...

"You don't know what I'm thinking," I said voicing my thoughts. He's not a mind reader; there is no way!

"Maybe I don't..."

"Well, I'm going to break it to you."

"Go at it."

"I'm having two boys; no girls for you," I responded with a large smirk on my face as I looked over to him.

"Oh please, it's definitely two girls!"

"Whatever, you're so wrong!" I argued back. "My mother instincts are telling me its two boys."

"Well... my father instincts are telling me its two girls!"

I huffed loudly; there was no way to win a fight with Landon. Ever! My childish behaviour made him laugh loudly and squeeze my hand just a little bit tighter.

"Calm down Kota, you don't want the babies to get all worked up."

"Oh shut up Landon," I grumbled as we pulled into my mom's house.

"You know you love me."

"No I don't."

"Yes you do."

"No."

"Yes."

"Okay fine, I do, but I know you love me too."

"That I do," Landon responded with a heart warming smile.

As we walked into the house I had no idea what I wanted to do today. There wasn't much that I could eat considering that most things made me want to throw up, and some other things that I actually wanted to eat made me get even fatter. Oops sorry; as Landon says it's not 'fat stomach', it's a 'pregnant belly'.

"What are we doing today?" I asked Landon as I plopped myself down onto my bedroom. It was quite clean considering Landon has been living with me in here. Not that Landon is piggish; I'm just surprised that I have been able to keep it this clean with him living here.

"Don't worry baby, I got it all planned out."

"Oh, well, do you care to enlighten me?"

"Just wear something fancy but comfortable, like one of those maternity dresses that I bought for you the other day."

I groaned when Landon brought that up. Not because the dress was absolutely stunning or the fact that Landon had bought it; but because it was a maternity dress. My big t-shirts are starting to become a little small so Landon surprised me with a few clothes, but I'm definitely going to need more in the near future.

"Okay, but where are we going?"

"It's a secret. Go get ready, beautiful," Landon whispered as he went to look through his bag of clothes. My heart fluttered at Landon calling me beautiful. Sure he has called me that plenty of times but just the thought of still having him and being able to have his babies and get married to him just makes it all the more thrilling. I don't think I will ever get use to his nicknames or sweet talking.
