I heard a soft purring noise and my eyes slowly fluttered open, I was surprised to see black leather. I scrunched my eyebrows together in confusion and moved my hands and felt the leather under me, I slowly turned my head slightly and saw I was in a car.

Startled I sat up quickly in my seat; causing me to be slightly dizzy for a second or two.

"You're awake."a motioned voice say, I looked to the front seat to see Derek sitting there clutching the steering wheel. I ran a hand through my hair as I looked around the car, I saw we were parked in the driveway of our apartment.

"How long have we been siting here?" I asked, taking notice the motor was still running. He shrugged

"Not that long... Care to explain why I found you passed out in the woods?" He didn't turn to look at me until the last sentence. And like a ocean wave; the painful memory of Isaac indirectly telling my he was leaving. I felt the air start to get stuck in my throat and my hands started to shake,

"W-what time is it?" I asked, fumbling in my pockets to find my phone. Derek didn't say anything he just handed me my phone, I unlocked it to see it was only 1:30 and I had plenty of time before the game... Plenty of time to talk Isaac out of his decision! I went to get out of the car but Derek cut me off,

"Don't. Get.out." He said in clenched teeth, I looked up to him surprised, why was he in such a mood with me?

"Derek, I need to talk with Isaac! He's going to-"

"Try and leave. I know." My eyes locked on his, disbelief must have been etched in my features because Derek continued, "but your going to talk to me first..you know... Your mate?" He put emphasis on the word 'mate' and I felt guilty for an unknown reason,

"Really Derek? This isn't the time to be jealous!" I basically snapped at him, "because if you don't realize... Your about to loose your whole pack!" I was getting irritated at him for not doing more,

"No, but I DO want to know why you were blacked out in the middle of the FUCKING WOODS!" Derek had never raised his voice like that to me... Ever. And I'm not going to lie when I say it scared me slightly, I whimpered and moved back in my seat more,

"I... I needed to get away. The way Isaac told me he was leaving made me mad and the thought of him leaving made me mad and... I just didn't know what all to do." Derek rolled his eyes,

"See? Always about Isaac." I felt my jaw drop, is he REALLY being like this? He's never like this... Ever.

"And you." I whispered out, but I refused to meet his gaze, I knew he was looking at me and that's all that mattered. "I... I thought... Isaac is my best friend, he is always there for me." I looked out the window as I spoke, "and... If he's leaving me... Because all this is to much." I turned so I was looking Derek in the eyes, "what's keeping YOU from leaving me?" Derek looked totally taken aback by this,

"I would never leave you..." He whispered, I just shook my head

"I know but I can't help thinking..." I smiled slightly to myself and looked up the the roof, "I have ways been an over thinker I guess." I shook my head one more time before opening the door and walking up to the apartment, and this time... Derek didn't stop me.

I opened the door and I saw Isaac leaning with his back up against the wall with his head thrown back, I leaned up against the door frame an I watched him for a few seconds before he lowered his head and met my gaze with his eyes. He smiled weakly and stuffed his hands in his pockets,
