When I got up the next morning it was tough trying to pick out close. I had to try to hide the bruises. It doesn't help that I live in California. I decided to wear a light mint color off the shoulder sweater with my black shorts with my black converse with my hair in a top not bun and I wore classes and I had no makeup on. I was already running late so I didn't pick anyone up. I only brought my purse so when I got to school I just headed to science. I had 5 minutes until the second bell rang. When I got in class I immediately sat by Derrick.

Lexi: why are you wearing a sweater when it's like 90 degrees

Me: because I can

Lexi: no that's not the reason

Me: how the hell are you going to tell me if that's not the reason or not bitch

Lexi: (lifts some of my shirt up) are you wearing a sweater to hide these bruises?

Me: stop touching me

Lexi: why did you dodge the question? Who gave you the bruises

Me: why are you asking these questions when you know the answer

Lexi: ok everyone she is wearing the sweater to hide the bruises that Damian gave her

Me: are you happy now?

Lexi:no not exactly

Me: why don't you just say what makes you happy and get over it

Lexi: umm ok...Callie Anderson is a slut..

Me: hold the fuck up Lexi how are you gonna call me a slut when you slept with half of the guys in school in the last week

Everyone: ohhhhhhhh.....buuuuuuurrrrrrrnnnnnn.

Lexi: umm ok let me finish she Callie is a boyfriend stealer

Me: umm oh hell no because I don't even remotely like Damian anymore

Lexi: umm ok well...you try to fit in

Me: I don't try to fit in at all so find something else

Lexi: umm your are a fucking bitch who cries herself to sleep and who is an attention whore

Me: ok I do admit I sometimes cry myself to sleep but I'm not an attention whore you might think that because I'm finally standing up for myself

Lexi: ummm..(Mr. Sems walks into the class) we are not done here

In the class we copied some stupid ass notes.

Then the bell rang.

I went to my next class. In most of my classes I sat next to Derrick. I went into English and sat down. The bell rang. We had a sub and she let us talk.

Lexi: so how are your mommy and daddy (she said this loud) {my dad past away 3 weeks ago when I was in the hospital my mom refuses to visit us so basically she left us}

Me: (trying not to tear up) ummm.....(a tear runs down my cheek)

Lexi: awwe is poor Callie crying? So what happened to your daddy?

Me: (runs out of the room crying)

Derricks P.O.V (after Callie runs out of the room)

Me: you know Lexi you are such a bitch

Lexi:how am I a bitch

Me: you know exactly why Callie ran out of the room

Lexi: yeah I know

Me: so you do realize what you said was a bitch move

Lexi: no I think it was a sweet little move I made

Me: you have some nerve on talking about someone's family ( I left the class to go see Callie)

Callie's POV(after I ran out of the class)

I ran out of the class crying. I went to go sit on the stairs. I buried my face in my hands. A couple minutes past of me crying. Derrick came up to me and sat on the stairs with me.

Derrick: Callie....it is gonna be ok

Me: no it's not it will never be ok

Derrick: (brings me closer to him) don't say that

Me: (cries into his shoulder)

Derrick: I know it's hard right now and I can't possibly know how you feel but I am here for you

Me: (wipes tears off my face and shakes my head) yeah I know and sorry for crying on your shirt and sorry that you have to see me like this

Derrick: you have to let it out sometime

Me: umm yeah I guess

The bell rang and I headed to lunch with Derrick.

When the last bell rang I was heading to my car when I got stopped by Derrick.

Derrick: hey Callie.....ummmm do you want to....ummm go on a date with me?

Me: ummm....yeah sure

Derrick: I'll pick you up around 7 we are going to the football game.

Me: umm...ok see you at 7
