Why Me?

Chapter 8

Thank god science was over because it felt like I was in that class for 12 hours.

When the bell rang I nearly ran out of the class to my locker.

And of course who follows me.

Derrick: why were you practically running out of the class room.

Me: to get the fuck away from you

Derrick: why

Me: if you wanna be friends just ask but I'm gonna have to earn your trust first

Derrick: really that's all I had to do is ask

Me: yes but I have to earn your trust

Derrick: ok ok I understand why you do

Me: do you really

Derrick: yes

Me: then what is it

Derrick: to begin I started the bullying and made everyone turn against you even your best friends before the ones you have now and I ruined all of your crushes and I ruined 1 or 2 of your relationships with your boyfriends and for me calling you those names yesterday and in science.

Me: ok so you do remember what you did

Derrick: yes and can I walk you to your class

Me: sure considering we have most of the same classes.

That class went by fast.

I went to my locker and put everything in it. Then I had one of my extra classes. Which was office aid. They asked me to put up these flyers for "Beach Cafés" performances on Friday.

Then after that was lunch. I went to lunch and meet my friends at our table.

We made plans to go to the café after school instead of me just dropping them off at home.

(After school)

I went to my locker grabbed my bag and went to my car and found my friends waiting for me at my car.

We headed to the café.

Considering that Mea's dad works here we have our own hang out room in the back.

One day we were in the back and I saw a guitar and started playing an acoustic cover of "Thrift Shop" and Mea told her dad that I could sing and I guess that's the story on how I got gigs every Friday night.

Well we hung out at the café for awhile then I took everyone home.
