Daniel,

If your reading this, thanks for giving me allowance sometimes at lunch! Your mean to me sometimes but your still nice! And i know sometimes you say I'm adopted cause there isn't an asian in your fake family but me. Although, you always give Jeremiah, my fake brother more allowance than me, which isn't fair! Now I feel awkward... Err.. Bye! Thanks for reading! (:

Let's Call It Love

Chapter 12

Party and Alvin&Nobody

"Want to hang out today?" Dalton asked me.

It's been two weeks now and I'm completely accomplishing my promise to myself. I most likely look suspicious to them. Changing isn't the best way to stop my feeling for him but I feel that, this is the only way.

"Can't, have work," I replied, taking a sip of my water.

"Can you do it just for today? Please?" he pleaded with me.

I shook my head no to him. "I've taken a break from work the whole entire week two week, surprisingly I haven't been fired thanks to my mom." I paused, catching my breath, "But I know that it won't hold long so I'm going to work today."

He frowned. As far as I know if it, it's been about three weeks since I've hanged out with Dalton. My feelings have started to deduce little by little.

"Scar, lately your no fun!" Janelle whined at me.

I gave her a laugh, "So?"

"Well, we want to have a girls night out this weekend. Will you please to come?" Megan asked with a pleading voice.

"This weekend? No can do. I'm going to be a lazy person and sleep around all day," I told them.

They sighed in defeat as I took a sip of my water.

"Well, I'm going to class," I said as got up halfway to be stopped by a hand over mine. It was Chase.

"I'm going too," he said.

Surprisingly his hand was as cold as ice. How can Megan stand to hold hands with him? I immediately pulled off my hand from his.

Intently I wanted to say something but he technically dragged me out of the cafeteria and into a cold hallway.

I shivered. He pinned my body with his hands on either sides close to my face. What is he planning to do?

"Tell me," he paused, "Why are you acting so different lately?"

I pushed his hands off and dusted myself.

"I feel like my old self," I simply answered.

He growled at me, "I know there's something bothering you. Everyone has been giving you a watchful eye."

I shrugged it off. "They don't need to do that. All I'm doing is focusing on my school work, and my job!" I explained in anger.

He covered his face from me with his brown hair. "Well what about your friends, huh? What about us?"

I felt shocked about what he said. I never really thought of how my actions would affect them. I felt selfish for doing so.

"I-I'm not acting differently," I stuttered trying to find my words.
