Chapter 9

The Unexpected Outing

•Authors Note: The two dresses for Scarlette and Mikaela (Megan), is from Hot Topic. The dress for Janelle is from Nordstrom. I'm just using the dresses for entertainment purposes only.

My friends knew exactly where to shop. Janelle parked into a parking space and we all went out of the car.

We spent three to four hours shopping and trying on clothes, and I was getting tired! Shopaholics, I tell you. But in the end, we all got our dresses.

Megan got the Chicks Allover Print Black Ruffle Dress from Hot Topic. It was a black flowy dress that went up of her knees and ruffle accents. She absolutely adored it.

Janelle got the Roxette Rosette Sleeveless Dress from Nordstrom. It was strap dress that were colors white, blue, and black. The blue part had a sleek blue bow and it was in the middle. Lastly, the black part was the bottom part of the dress; it looked like little mini black roses that sprouted. It was a cute dress.

I got the Hell Bunny Black Lydian Mini Dress from Hot Topic. It was with halter neck dress it had a little collar at the top. It was simple yet a nice dress. I liked it. I was thinking of adding a little black leather jacket so I'm not that cold.

They drove me home around nine thirty and I went to my room, too tired. I brushed my teeth, washed my face and dressed myself up to my pajama's.

I slid into bed and got my phone out, and checked what time it was. It was around 9:45 p.m. by now. I decided to see how Dalton was doing right now. I viewed his contact info and almost pressed call. I hesitated, pressed cancel, and exhaled. I don't want to bother him.

I was exhausted from today. Hopefully I don't experience such things again sometime soon. And with that, I slept.

"Hey," Dalton greeted me.

I nodded and gave him a smile.

"What brings you at the rooftop again?" he asked me.

He sat down next to me in a cross-legged position like me.

"Sleeping."

"I think one day we should ditch school," he said.

I gave him a thumbs up, "I'm up for that."

We went to the classes today and school passed by quickly. Jace and I pretended again today and Janelle & Megan were more hyper than ever. I went to work early.

"Hey Mabel," I waved at her.

"Hey Scar."

I organized more things and was completely worn out from work. I went home, deciding I'm going to ditch school tomorrow.

I texted Jace.

"Hey Jace, I'm not going to go to school tomorrow. Personal reasons," I texted. He probably got the message.

I texted Dalton, "I'm not going to be in school tomorrow."

"Why not? ):" he texted back.
