Chapter 2

I decided to break the silence that was building.

"Soo, where are we going?" I asked.

"New York City." Alyssa said. "Our Father... owns a big hotel industry. All

over the world. But New York is the most succesful. So we live here."

"Oh. That's cool. So you live in the Hotel?" I said.

"Yep. We have an extra top floor. Two penthouses. The public dosn't know."

 She smiled.

"Really? Wow." The idea of a whole top floor sounded great. "I've never

 stayed in an hotel before."

"Are you joking?" She looked surprised.

"No. We never really had much money. Just enough for the essential

things." I said. "Like clothes, food, bills, all the such."

"I see. Well that's going to change." She said.

"How so?" I said.

She laughed. "Hazel, your living with us. You get what we all get. A great

new life." She smiled, but something in her eyes was different.

We walked for hours, the smoke was clearing, and the sky was blue. We

soon got to the end of the forest, and there was black jeep waiting for us.

There was just enough seats for all of us.

We all got in, and before I knew it we were at the front of a giant hotel. On

the front of the building in beautiful black cursive was the name.

The Dareing Plaza

"Dareing?" I asked.

"It was his last name." Jason said with a smile.

"Oh." I sounded stupid.

"Carson would you be a doll and go tell Father that we're here?" Alyssa said.

"Yes of course. Anything for you." Carson said. He had a shaved head. And

bright gray eyes. They were almost white. He obviously liked Alyssa.

"Lets go to the desk. See if there's any mail. Also we have to check you in."

 We all followed her in.

She walked up to a women in a lilac suit. She had black eyes, and short

blond hair.

"Good afternoon, Miss Alyssa." She said.

"Hello, Patricia." Alyssa answered. "We have someone new. Meet Hazel

Stewart."

"Hi." I said.

"Hello, I'll have them open another room upstairs." She said typing on her

computer. "Favorite color? Designs, or plain.  Decorations? What type of

furniture?

"Purple, green, and gray. I like simple, and some decorations are okay." I

said. "Also can I have cherry wood furniture?" I wanted to replicate my

room from home.

"Of course anything." She typed some more on her computer, then grabbed

a stack of mail and handed it to Alyssa. "Here. Some mail for you."

"Thank you." Alyssa said simply. I followed them to an elevater, and we

went up.
