Nightmares and Insomnia
I like it when
Bright city lights
Drown out them
Deep darkened nightsThe Bogeyman under my bed
Sighs
Calling scary dreams into my head
And ILash out
Scream, shout
Begging 'Sanity be saved
From His sad, despondent sights'I quiver and I quail
Under covers- silk made
I shudder and I moan
As depression makes itself knownNight after night
Is passed in this fashion
Morning after morning
I work to tune it outDay after day
I try and try to forget
But week upon week
I fail.
