Green Grass:
The thing about being happy is that its pretty easy to get used to.
Then when sadness comes, it brings you down like a battering ram against castle doors made of rotting wood.
When you're sad, that doesn't happen.
When you're at rock bottom, there's no lower you can go. It's a relief really- no more breaking. No more aching.
Just a soft blanketing numbness. A floating sensation. A freedom. Nothing matters and so, you become invincible.People say sadness breaks you. I say people are ignorant. Everything breaks you- little by little. Sad isn't always bad. And rock bottom is a great start.
Once you've been stripped of everything that makes you 'you'; you're free to be anything. And you can decide better this time because you can finally tell if something is or isn't worth breaking for.
