You were just a child
A mamas boy
A spoiled brat
A young boy trying to have fun
One day your castle went to war
And your perfect life shattered
You hide behind your memories
Pretending to be someone your not
Wishing that your perfect world would just re-appear
But you know that won’t happen
She ruined that for you
She cheated
And you still don’t realize that she did
Isn’t it odd for someone to get divorced, then move in with their friend, who now, after all these years, her boyfriend
They were friends before
They must’ve been doing something for her to take your life away
But instead of realizing that your ‘perfect mom’ isn’t all that perfect, you protect her from your sister
Who knows the truth
You try to make your family perfect
Ruining their lives
Making them live in nothing but lies
Just so you can have the life you use to
Just so you can have the life you want
But behind the wall of the ‘perfect family’ is a depressing family who hates each other
The wife is in depression
The young boy you call son is oblivious, your little pet, your wannabe
The poor girl your supposed to call daughter is now emo. She cuts, hides her face, and hides away from the world.
But they all pretend anyway.
Your poor daughter hates you, and wishes you dead.
Your wife is considering leaving over again
And your son is turning out just like you.
Your daughter pretends to be happy
Goes mute whenever shes sad
Never gets angry at anyone but her family, and only inside your walls
Never causes trouble
Tries to be the best she can
But you still put her down
You only like it when she gets A’s
Only praise her when shes done excelent, never good
Yell at her for the smallest things
Make her clean everything
Torture her until shes in her room shaking and bawling her eyes out
You caused all those cuts on her poor arm
And you still don’t realize
Those cuts are here to stay
And the Lies will always continue
You pretend to change
Just so you can have to perfect family
It was because of that one mistake your parents made
The reason you changed
But it doesn’t explain your perfect family
You don’t want to be your parents
But because of the one mistake in college you made
Because of that one amazing night you had
Because you wanted to be reckless
You had a daughter who you dread to see
A daughter you lie to, pretending to only want whats best for her
Trying to make her what you wish to be
Perfect
Your little accident has started to head in the other direction though
Stopped taking your crap
Stood up for herself
You call it teenage hormones
But you should know better
She discovered your secret
All the lies you told
All the pain that was caused to you
How she was an accident
You call her an early surpirse
When clearly she was an accident anyway
So you treat her like crap
Argue with her
Make her clean while you sit on your lazy ass
Make her look nice
Never give her anything she wants
Only spoil her so she’ll obey you
Want you
Love you
But its to late
Your ‘early surpirse’
Your daughter
Is done
Being a child doesn’t help the fact you treat her like Crap
And being me doesn’t help the fact that I’m still your daughter
Hating on you everyday
Wishing that you were dead
Because I wanna live a happy life
A life where I can learn to show what I’m feeling,
Have fun
And be free from your fake perfect little world
I am sadly your daughter
And wish you could be disowned

A Reality Filled With Poems
PoetryNot really my best of works, but poems were never my thing. Read them if you please but be warned, they don't always flow properly or even make remote sense in my opinion.
