After tucking Bella into bed, Lily met the Maruaders in the living room. Sirius looked up at her.
“Well.” He began.
Lily sighed and joined them at the table. “She’s asleep.”
James gave her a kind smile. He personally adored the motherly side Lily showed when Bella was around.
“S-s-so she’s staying?” Peter murmured.
Remus nodded. “Apparently.”
James frowned. “I wonder what’s going on at Hogwarts.”
Lily shook her head. “I wish Dumbledore had told us more.”
There was a silence.
“Bedtime, I think,” Sirius said playfully.
They all rolled their eyes, but agreed it was time to go to bed.
