PAGE EIGHT:

PANEL ONE: It's Theo, still holding the boy, but most of his head has been blasted away by his own gun. He shouldn't still be upright, but we are clearly now in Mr. Yanyo's candy-induced memory.

CANDYMAKER (off-panel): Your bodyguard THEO, Mr. Yanyo.

CANDYMAKER (off-panel): Ray is an off-duty COP. He got the gun away from your thug, MOST untidily, really.

CANDYMAKER (off-panel): Theo probably didn't even know he'd signed a donor card.

PANEL TWO: The Candymaker, now has a gunshot hole in him, through his apron, near his heart.

CANDYMAKER: Sadly, I, too, was shot in the melee.

CANDYMAKER: I lived a few days, no more. But I am content.

PANEL THREE: Ray, Terry, and Malcolm, happy, standing together.

CANDYMAKER: I just wanted to see my customers smile.

CANDYMAKER: To know I gave them what they truly need.

PANEL FOUR: Yanyo's face, in horror.

CANDYMAKER: That's the thing about the loops, Mr. Yanyo.

CANDYMAKER: Only I can turn them on. And only I can turn them OFF.

CANDYMAKER: And you shot ME through the HEART.

PANEL FIVE: The Candymaker smiles, getting a broom from behind the counter.

CANDYMAKER: This is your eternity, Mr. Yanyo.

CANDYMAKER: These ten minutes, over and over. Forever.

PANEL SIX: The Candymaker goes out front to sweep, as Yanyo, on his knees, puts Theo's gun to his own head.

CANDYMAKER: Nothing you want.

CANDYMAKER: But everything you NEED.
